Abstract: PURPOSE: A vehicle door impact beam and a manufacturing method are provided to maximize the impact energy absorption in the broadside collision of the vehicles by making a transversal member in a curved structure. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle door impact beam comprises a transversal member(14) and a longitudinal member(15). The transversal member and longitudinal member form a closed cross section. A projection(14a) is formed on the four corner of the closed cross section. The transversal member is arranged in parallel with an outer panel(12). The transversal member is convexly formed in outside and inside based on the cross section of the car body as circular arc section shape of fixed curvature. The transversal member and longitudinal member are integrated. The transversal member and longitudinal member respectively have different arc angle. The transversal member and longitudinal member respectively have different circular arc length.

Abstract: PURPOSE: The core of a weather strip with an improved exterior is provided such that the productivity increases by increasing an extrusion speed of rubber. CONSTITUTION: The core(1) of a weather strip comprises a steel wire(2) and a resin film(3). The steel wire is formed in zigzag to have a predetermined pitch. The resin films for wrapping the upper and lower surfaces of the steel wire are thermally fused each other. A curved part generated by the contraction of the resin film is formed in the pitch. The resin film comprises upper and lower resin films. The resin film wraps the circumference of the steel wire. The resin film is made of olefin resins.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An opening and closing system of a trunk for a vehicle and a design method thereof are provided to prevent drooping or vibration from tare in opening a trunk lid, and to support the trunk lid sufficiently by generating repulsive force against tare moment without increasing pressure of a gas lifter. CONSTITUTION: A hinge bar(10) is fixed in a trunk lid to open a trunk of a vehicle, and hinge-combined with a vehicle body. The trunk lid is supported in moving up against track of counter clockwise rotation around a hinge assembling point(A), and track of clockwise rotation around a vehicle body fixing point(B) is formed in a gas lifter(30). A goose neck(11) is bent downward, and a round bent part(13) is bent upward in the goose neck. A hinge connecting part(12) is combined with a trunk lid hinge shaft(20) by bending upward in the round bent part. Drooping is prevented, and repulsive force against tare moment is maximized by increasing radius of rotation in opening more than radius of rotation in closing.

Abstract: PURPOSE: Structure for reducing whist noise in a vehicle is provided to prevent generation of the whist noise by isolating air current letting into a gap between a front hood and a front radiator grill. CONSTITUTION: A lower portion of a seal strip(1) is mounted on an upper portion of a front radiator grill(104). An upper portion of the seal strip is attached to a lower end portion of a front hood(102) while closing the front hood. A gap is formed between the upper portion of the front radiator grill and the lower portion of the front hood. A fixing clip(3) vertically inserted to a lower portion of the seal strip. The seal strip is mounted on the upper portion of the front radiator grill by inserting the fixing clip. The upper end portion of the seal strip is attached to the lower portion of the front hood. A section of the seal strip is minimized to improve appearance while maintaining attaching state of the seal strip on the front hood. Thereby, structure for reducing whist noise of a vehicle prevents generation of the whist noise by isolating air current letting into the gap between the front hood and the front radiator grill.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A trunk lid opening device is provided to control properly opening operation force of a trunk lid using a coil spring. CONSTITUTION: An opening device comprises a hinge bar mounted on a trunk lid, a piston rod(23) connected to the hinge bar, a cylinder(21) connected to a car body on one side thereof where gas is sealed and a piston is inserted to reciprocally move, and specially a coil spring(24). The coil spring is inserted in the cylinder and compressed by the reciprocal movement of a piston(22). When the trunk lid is closed, the coil spring forms reaction force which reduces opening operation force at the moment of opening the trunk lid.
