Abstract: PURPOSE: An upper arm of a suspension system is provided to maximally lower the mounting position of a shock absorber and to improve the rigidity of a mounting unit in an upper arm. CONSTITUTION: An upper arm of a suspension system comprises a fixing device(300) for increasing the rigidity of an upper arm by internally fixing a side member(100) and an upper arm bush(200) to the side of the side member. The fixing device comprises a combining member(310), a reinforcing member(320), and a fixing member(330). The combining member comprises a joint and is combined with the upper arm bush. The reinforcing member comprises upper and lower flange units, an insertion unit, and a support unit and is internally fixed to the side member. The upper and lower flange unit adheres to the upper arm along with the flange of a side outer panel and a side inner panel(110). The insertion unit for insertion of the upper arm bush is equipped in an interval between the upper and lower flange units. The support unit is equipped at both ends of the insertion unit and supports the joint of the upper arm bush. The fixing member combines the combining member with the reinforcing member and fixes the combining member.
