Abstract: PURPOSE: Device and method of recovering exhaust heat from a vehicle are provided to shorten the activating time of an engine and enhance fuel efficiency by circulating a small amount of cooking water for the engine at the cold start step and circulating a large amount of cooling water for an exhaust-heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION: A device for recovering exhaust heat from a vehicle comprises a radiator(20), an exhaust-heat exchanger(30), a first valve(80), a water pump(50), a water temperature sensor(60), a second valve(90) and a control unit(70). The radiator circulates cooling water absorbing combustion heat from an engine(10) and radiates heat. The exhaust-heat exchanger transfers heat from exhaust gas to the circulated cooling water to raise the temperature of the cooling water. The first valve circulates the cooling water absorbing the combustion heat from the engine, to the radiator or a bypass line. The water pump circulates the cooling water. The water temperature sensor detects the temperature of the cooling water.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A lubrication system of an engine is provided to reduce the abrasion of main parts and enhance the durability of parts since oil is supplied to one end and the other end of a cam-shaft flow path. CONSTITUTION: A lubrication system of an engine comprises main flow paths(100) and cam-shaft flow paths(110). The main flow paths are formed on a cylinder head in a length direction. The cam-shaft flow paths are formed along the hollow part of a cam shaft, which is mounted on a cam carrier. The cam carrier is installed on the cylinder head. One end of the cam-shaft flow path is connected to one end of the main flow path. The other end of the cam-shaft flow path is connected to the other end of the main flow path. The main flow paths are arranged side by side at intervals. The cam-shaft flow paths are arranged side by side at intervals.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A structure of mounting a high pressure fuel pump in a fuel pump adapter of a cylinder head in a vehicle engine is provided to ensure firm sealing and improved fixing structure by interposing a sealing member between the fuel pump adapter and a head cover and fixing the sealing member with fastening members. CONSTITUTION: A pump mounting structure comprises a fuel pump adapter(110), a head cover(200), and a sealing member(210). The fuel pump adapter is provided in a cylinder head in order to install a high pressure fuel pump(300). The head cover has a mounting hole(220) which is formed to cover up the fuel pump adapter. The sealing member is allowed in between a flange(320) and the head cover when press-fitting the flange positioned under the high pressure fuel pump to the head cover. The flange of the high pressure fuel pump and the fuel pump adapter are fastened with two or more bolts.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A high pressure fuel pump is provided to control an amount of fuel sprayed from a combustion chamber by maintaining pressure of the fuel transferred to a high pressure pipe constantly. CONSTITUTION: A high pressure fuel pump comprises a valve body, a piston, a first check valve, a second check valve and a recovery chamber. The valve body comprises an inlet port and a fuel chamber. The fuel is supplied through the inlet port and the fuel chamber compresses the supplied fuel. The piston compresses the fuel in the fuel chamber by linearly reciprocating to the valve body. The first check valve delivers the fuel if the compressed fuel in the fuel chamber is more than a first reference pressure. If the compressed fuel in the fuel chamber is more than a second reference pressure which is higher than the first reference pressure, the second check valve is opened The recovery chamber temporarily stores the fuel passed through the second check valve.
