Abstract: PURPOSE: An aluminum alloy for vehicle parts and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to add Mn, Zn, and the little amount of Cu and Mn to an aluminum base, thereby improving mechanical properties through aging heat treatment. CONSTITUTION: An aluminum alloy for vehicle parts comprises Al as a main component, 2.0-2.2wt% of Mg, 5.0-5.2wt% of Zn, 0.2-0.4wt% of Cu, 0.9-1.1wt% of Mn, 0.2wt% or less of Fe(except for zero), and the rest of inevitable impurities. A method for manufacturing the aluminum alloy for vehicle parts comprises; a step for melting metal and the molten metal into a mold; a step for rapidly cooling a cast after heating in order to maintain a state that a hardening element is applied; and a step for obtaining an extraction stable state of a second phase by maintaining the cast at a temperature of 100 degrees or greater for more than 10 hours. Abstract: PURPOSE: A high strength cast Al alloy and a knuckle for a suspension of a vehicle is provided to improve aluminum alloy comparison intensity by adding magnesium, zinc, copper, niobium and manganese, titanium, and zirconium etc in the main component. CONSTITUTION: A high strength cast Al alloy and a knuckle for a suspension of a vehicle comprises aluminum as main component. High strength cast Al alloy is made from magnesium of 2.0~2.5 wt%, zinc of 5.7~6.7 wt%, copper of 2.0~2.4wt%, niobium of 0.1~0.9 wt%, Magnesium is the solid solution hardening element of aluminum. If the magnesium is excessively added, aciform compound including the Mg3Al 2 is formed. Therefore, the magnesium contained quantity is controlled to 2.0~2.5 wt%. Zinc is the precipitation reinforcing element.
