Abstract:
The present disclosure is related to a polymeric membrane having a first surface and a second surface and a wall extending between the first and second surface, the membrane comprising pores on the first and second surfaces and throughout the wall, the membrane comprising a modified surface, the modified surface comprising acrylate and/or methacrylate polymers and/or copolymers, wherein the modified surface extends at least over the first and/or the second surface, and over the pores of at least 50 % of the thickness of the wall. Furthermore, the present disclosure provides a method for producing such a membrane as well as a use of the membranes as disclosed herein for purification of aqueous media such as in biopharmaceutical applications.

The present disclosure relates to a pressure sensitive adhesive comprising: a) a multi-arm block copolymer of the formula Q n -Y, wherein: (i) Q represents an arm of the multi-arm block copolymer and each arm independently has the formula G-R, (ii) n represents the number of arms and is a whole number of at least 3, and (iii) Y is the residue of a multifunctional coupling agent, wherein each R is a rubbery block comprising a polymerized conjugated diene, a hydrogenated derivative of a polymerized conjugated diene, or combinations thereof; and each G is a glassy block comprising a polymerized monovinyl aromatic monomer; b) a polymeric plasticizer having a weight average molecular weight M w comprised between 10.000 and 100.000 g/mol; c) at least one hydrocarbon tackifier which is primarily compatible with the rubbery blocks; d) a glassy block compatible aromatic resin having a softening point value (RBSP) of at least 150C, when measured by the ring and ball test method described in the experimental section; and e) optionally, a linear block copolymer of the formula L-(G) m , wherein L is a rubbery block comprising a polymerized olefin, a polymerized conjugated diene, a hydrogenated derivative of a polymerized conjugated diene, or any combinations thereof; and wherein m is 1 or 2. The present disclosure also relates to a method of manufacturing such a pressure sensitive adhesive and uses thereof.

A multilayer pressure sensitive adhesive assembly comprising a polymeric foam layer and a first pressure sensitive adhesive layer adjacent to the polymeric foam layer. The polymeric foam comprises a plurality of activated carbon particles distributed therein, and the first pressure sensitive adhesive comprises: a linear block copolymer having the formula M - (G) p , wherein M is a rubbery block; each G is a glassy block comprising a polymerized monovinyl aromatic monomer; and p is 1 or 2; at least one hydrocarbon tackifier; and a (meth)acrylate copolymer having a Tg higher than 25°C and a weight average molecular weight (Mw) comprised between 1000 and 100.000 Daltons, and comprising: (meth)acrylic acid ester monomer units having a Tg higher than 25°C when homopolymerized.
