Abstract:
A paint-charging device for charging a cartridge (25) with paint to allow the paint to breathe during standby. The device comprises a charging valve (61) for feeding/discharging paint fed to the paint storage chamber (30) of the cartridge (25) attached to a charging block (52), and a paint breath valve (91) for feeding/discharging push-out thinner to/from a thinner storage chamber (31). The charging valve (61) is switched to the discharge side to feed the push-out thinner from the paint breath valve (91), thereby pushing out the paint in the paint storage chamber (30). Further, the charging valve (61) is switched to the feed side to dischar ge the push-out thinner from the paint breath valve (91), thereby feeding the pain to the paint storage chamber (30). This allows the paint in the cartridge (25) to perform a breathing action, preventing separation of the pigment in the paint.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance workability and productivity by simplifying the replacing work of a cartridge to a coating apparatus. SOLUTION: When a cartridge 25 is replaced, the filled cartridge 25 filled with paint of a next color is preliminarily taken out from the filling stand 56 of a paint filling device 55 by one gripper 101 of a cartridge gripping device 100 and the used empty cartridge 25 is gripped by the other gripper 102 thereof in such a state that the filled cartridge 25 is gripped by one gripper 101 to be detached from a coating apparatus. By this constitution, the filled cartridge 25 gripped by the other gripper 102 can be attached to the coating apparatus immediately after the empty cartridge 25 is detached from the coating apparatus and the replacing work of the cartridge 25 can be simplified.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the coating defect caused by malfunction of a gripping jig, non-filling of paint or paint insufficiency and to enhance reliability. SOLUTION: A cartridge gripping apparatus 55 is constituted of a gripping jigs 56 having gripping pawls 66 gripping a cartridge 25, a gripping state detecting switch 67 for detecting whether the cartridge 25 is gripped by the gripping jigs 56 and a filling state detecting switch 68 for detecting whether the cartridge 25 gripped by the gripping jigs 56 is filled with paint. By this constitution, when the cartridge 25 is gripped by the gripping jigs 56, the gripping state detecting switch 67 can confirm the gripping state of the cartridge 25 and the filling state detecting switch 68 can confirm the filling state of paint to the cartridge 25.

A paint cartridge (31) is provided with a wash fluid passage (43) which is in communication with a paint chamber (36), along with a wash fluid valve (45) which is adapted to open and close the wash fluid passage (43). Provided on the side of a replenishing stool (52) are a replenishing valve (61) which supplies or discharges paint to or from the paint chamber (36), an extruding thinner feed/discharge valve (86) which supplies or discharges paint-extruding thinner to or from an extruding thinner chamber (37), and a wash fluid supply valve (101) which supplies a wash fluid to the paint chamber (36) through the wash fluid passage (43). Accordingly, upon opening the replenishing valve (61), wash fluid supply valve (101) and wash fluid valve (45), a wash fluid from the wash fluid supply valve (101) is allowed to flow into the paint chamber (36) through the wash fluid passage (43) and discharged through a feed tube (34) to wash away deposited paint therefrom.

A cartridge (35) of each of the colors is detachably attached to a coating device (21) so that the coating materials of many colors can be applied by being changed one by one without discharging the coating materials. The cartridge (35) of each of the colors is changeably attached to the housing (22). The cartridge (35) is further provided with a coating valve (46) which provides communication and cutoff of a thinner valve (54) which provides communication and cutoff of a coating material feed passage (39A) in a feed tube (39). Either the housing (22) or the cartridge (35) is provided with a thinner passage (48) on the side of the housing. Thus, the single coating device (21) copes with the operation for changing many colors. The coating material valve (46) and the thinner valve (54) are opened and closed by a coating material spray instruction and a stop instruction, therefore, immediately after the instruction, the spray of coating material is started or stopped.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve work efficiency during cleaning by cleaning coating adherent to the coating housing chamber of a cartridge, a feed tube, etc. surely in a short time. SOLUTION: In the cartridge 31, a cleaning fluid passage 43 communicating with the coating housing chamber 36 and a cleaning fluid valve 45 for cutting off or release the passage 43 are provided. On a packing table 52, a packing valve 61 which supplies/discharges the coating to/from the chamber 36, an extrusion thinner supply/discharge valve 86 which supplies/discharges extrusion thinner to extrude the coating to an extrusion thinner housing chamber 37, and a cleaning fluid supply valve 101 which supplies cleaning fluid to the chamber 36 through the passage 43 are provided. By opening the packing valve 61, the cleaning fluid supply valve 101, and the cleaning fluid valve 45, the cleaning fluid from the valve 101 is introduced into the chamber 36 through the passage 43 and discharged from the feed tube 34 so that the coating adherent to these is cleaned.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate replacement work of a spray head and enhance productivity by replacing the spray head constituting part of a coating apparatus for one unit of a working machine and a common body part. SOLUTION: A coating robot 6 is provided with a common body part 11 and a bell type spray head 42 having a bell-shaped cup, and the like, is replaced and connected to the common body part 11 by a spray head replacing device 61 disposed within a working range of the coating robot 6. By this constitution, the spray head 42 can be automatically replaced by the spray head replacing device 61 disposed within the working range so as to be connected with the common body part 11.

SOLUTION: An installation member 42 and a holding member 46 are made separate parts and a positioning apparatus 49 for attracting both members in the positioning state of the holding member installation body 44 of the installation member 42 and the contact member 47 of the holding member 46 is installed between them, and an air supply path 52 for parting the holding member installation body 44 and the contact member 47 against the positioning apparatus 49 is formed in the holding member installation body 44. Accordingly, the holding member 46 can be moved freely by parting the holding member installation body 44 and the contact member 47 by compressed air from the air supply path 52. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure of a cartridge, make a coating material filling work easy, prevent separation and precipitation of a pigment of the coating material, and improve the coating quality. SOLUTION: A coating material breather valve 91 is provided which pushes and sucks a coating material between a coating material storing chamber 30 and a coating material circulating pipe 67, which is a coating material supply source, by supplying and discharging a thinner as a pushing liquid to and out of a thinner storage chamber 31 of a cartridge 25. Consequently, by carrying out a coating material breathing process for sucking and pushing out a coating material between the coating material circulating pipe 67 and the coating material storing chamber 30 by the coating material breather valve 91, the coating material is constantly kept flowing to prevent separation and precipitation of a pigment of the coating material and to improve the coating quality. Further, since tip end opening of a feed tube 28 is utilized as a filling port, the structure of the cartridge 25 can be simplified and the coating material filling work can also be simplified.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply paints in many colors while changing the colors without discharging the paints by providing a cartridge for each color attachably and detachably to/from the coater. SOLUTION: A cartridge 35 for each color is interchangeably provided for a housing 22. Meanwhile, a paint valve 46 for communicating on interrupting the paint passage 39A in a feed tube 39 is furnished for the cartridge 35, and a thinner valve 54 for communicating or interrupting a thinner passage 48 on the housing side is provided for the housing 22. Consequently, many colors are changed by only one coater 21. Besides, when the paint is sprayed or stopped, the paint valve 46 and thinner valve 54 are opened or closed under the command to spray or stop, and the paint is sprayed or stopped immediately after the command.
