Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder spraying device which carries out electric charging simultaneously in the inside and the outside and is suitable for electrostatic powder coating. SOLUTION: Both of internal high voltage electrodes 2 and an external high voltage electrode 5 are connected with a high voltage power source through high resistance members 1, 3, 4 to improve adhesion efficiency to be constant without largely depending on the distance between the spraying apparatus and the member in a manufacturing process.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong the service life of an electrically insulated piston valve by making the potential of a control electrode equal to the potential of the liquid in a liquid outlet. SOLUTION: The control electrode 2 is arranged on a prolonged part 11 of a cylinder 5. The metallic prolonged part 11 is formed to conform with the shape of the control electrode 2. Then, the control electrode 2 is electrically connected with the liquid 8a at the outlet 9. In the case that the prolonged part 11 is not made of metal but made of an electrically insulated material e.g. glass, the control electrode 2 is placed to be electrically connected between the liquid 8a and the electrode 2 and is welded. The shape of the electrode has at least about 3mm radius of curvature. Thus, the control electrode 2 is always at the potential of the outlet side liquid 8a and lowers the electric field intensity on the valve.

Abstract: The invention relates to a measuring device (1) for detecting the thickness of a layer (20) which is applied to a component (100). The thickness is detected in a touchless and nondestructive manner and irrespective of the material the layer (20) is made of. An electromagnetic radiation source (2) is provided which emits radiation in the infrared area. The radiation source (2) is embodied as a solid body laser and is connected to a sensor unit (8) by means of at least one optical waveguide (4). The layer (20) can be scanned with the infrared radiation using the sensor unit. The heat radiation which is emitted by the layer (20) is detected by means of a detector (5) which can be integrated into the sensor unit (8). The thickness of the layer (20) is detected in an evaluation unit (11) according to the measuring signals. Comparative values are stored in said evaluation unit.
