    Abstract: A powder spray device which is set up for a simultaneous internal and external powder discharge has a high voltage source (6), an earth electrode (10), at least one outer high voltage electrode (5) and several inner high voltage electrodes (2). The high voltage source is connected via connecting elements (3,4) made of highly resistive material not only to the outer high voltage electrode but also to a ring (1) made of highly resistive material, over whose periphery the inner high voltage electrodes are distributed evenly. As a material for the highly resistive components, a plastic is used which is filled with graphite, rust or other conducting material.

    Abstract: The gun has a chamber (1) into which is blown the powder/air mixture via a lateral duct (11). This generates a swirl action and the exit of the chamber passes HT electrodes (7) before being expelled via a deflector plate (9) to spread the powder spray. The earthing electrode (5) is surrounded by a sheath and has clean air blown through the space between the sheath and the electrode. The air keeps the electrode clean of powder deposits. The spacing of the electrodes is adjustable and the HT electrodes are in a ring, or in several rings. The HT electrodes are similarly supplied with cleaning air flows.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a powder spraying device for electrostatic powder coating of workpieces. In order to achieve a particularly good powder particle charge, the powder spraying device (10) contains a chamber (1) into which a powder/air mixture (PL) is introduced crosswise to the spraying device (13) by means of a feed pipe (11). A ground electrode (5) and multiple high-voltage electrodes (7) are placed in the chamber (1). All electrodes (5, 7) are swept by purified air (RLE, RLH) in order to prevent powder deposits.
