Abstract: Selective and potent Type-A CCK receptor agonists of formula (I): X-Y-Z-Q, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein, X is selected from (a) and (b); Y is selected from (c) and (d); Z is (e); and Q is (f), or pharmaceutically-acceptable salts thereof, useful in the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders (including gallbladder disorders), central nervous system disorders, insuline-related disorders and pain, as well as in appetite regulation.
