The problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a fuel-saving-type engine oil composition, in which a low-viscosity engine oil is not constrained by a matter that the temperature is high or low, the load is low or high or the like and a good friction-reducing effect can be exhibited. The present invention is an engine oil composition characterized by containing: an engine oil which has a low-temperature viscosity of 0 to 10 in terms of an SAE viscosity grade and a high-temperature viscosity of 4 to 20 in terms of an SAE viscosity grade; and a molybdenum compound (A) represented by general formula (1) (wherein R1 to R4 independently represent a hydrocarbon group having 4 to 18 carbon atoms, wherein all of R1 to R4 do not represent the same group, and R3 and R4 do not represent the same group when R1 and R2 represent the same group; and X1 to X4 independently represent a sulfur atom or an oxygen atom).

The purpose of the invention is: to provide a lubrication additive composition for a lubricating composition that is intended to suppress corrosion of machinery and further improve the friction-reducing effect relative to conventional lubricating compositions; and to provide a lubricating composition containing said composition. In order to achieve this purpose, the present invention provides: a lubrication additive composition containing an organic molybdenum compound represented by general formula (1) in the specification as component (A) and an amine compound represented by general formula (2) in the specification as component (B), the lubrication additive composition containing 1-20 parts by mass of component (B) per 100 parts by mass of molybdenum atoms in component (A); and a lubricating composition including the same.

The purpose of the present invention is to provide an engine oil composition which is unlikely to undergo degradation of an organic molybdenum compound after long term use and which can maintain lubricity even if a base oil having a low aromatic component content is used and a large quantity of an antioxidant or a zinc dithiophosphate compound is not contained therein. In order to achieve the foregoing, the present invention provides a lubricating oil composition for an internal combustion engine, which contains: a base oil that is a hydrocarbon oil having an aromatic component content of less than 1 mass% and a sulfur content of less than 20 ppm by mass; a specific organic molybdenum compound as component (A) at a quantity of 300-1500 ppm by mass in terms of molybdenum atoms; and a boric acid ester compound as component (B) at a quantity of 100-1000 ppm by mass in terms of boron atoms.
