A system prepares for the reception and the transmission of the data packet, from the 'Ethernet' controller during the waiting time of the network by effectively using plural buffer memories #1, #2 and #3 and a driver and by using the bus in connection to the controller 22. Thus, the whole performance of the network improves.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To reliably discriminate whether a specific data packet is to be processed by this comparator system or not by giving a 1st signal if one of addresses in a data packet coincides with an address in a computer system. CONSTITUTION: A RECEIVE LED indicator 18' shows that computers 12', 14' and 16' on a network 10' has received data. A RECEIVE ADDRESS MATCH LED indicator 20 shows a receiving operation which passed an IEEE identity function about the computers 12', 14', 16' on the network 10'. Following this, first whether or not a packet is received is decided and then if the answer is yes, whether or not an address coincides with one in a system is decided. If the answer is no, the light of the LED indicator 18' is turned on. ON the other hand, if the answer is yes, the light of the LED indicator 20 is turned on.
