    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a polymer film useful as a separating membrane with sericin discarded until now by spreading an aq. sericin soln. contg. specified cross- linking agents on a glass plate and forming a crosslinked thin film. CONSTITUTION:An aq. hydrochloric acid soln., an aq. soln. of a crosslinking agent (A) such as formaldehyde and an aq. soln. of thermallyreactive water-soluble urethane resin as a cross-linking agent (B) are added to an ag. sericin soln. and they are mixed to obtain an aq. sericin soln. for spreading. This sericin soln. is spread on a smooth plate such as a glass plate at room temp. and allowed to stand at room temp. to carry out cross-linking with the cross-linking agent A. The resulting film is treated with hot air at about 100-150 deg.C to carry out cross-linking with the cross-linking agent B. A cross-linked thin film of sericin is formed and utilized as a separating membrane for an aq. soln. of water-soluble org. matter (water-alcohol). At this time, the film is well washed with water, held on a porous support and used.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To simplify and lighten a mechanism for rotary drive in each joint by rotatably and drivably connecting the finger piece on the head side in relation to the finger piece on the base side in each joint by means of an ultrasonic motor. CONSTITUTION:Necessary motion is given to each finger of a hand for a robot by the control by means of ultrasonic motors 16 through 19 and 36 through 38 rotatably and drivably connecting finger pieces 11 through 14 and 31 through 33 respectively in the respective joints. The use of the ultrasonic motors 16 through 19 and 36 through 38 of large torque compared with dead weight and volume eliminates gears for low speed torque and high speed torque and brakes for keeping static state for driving each joint, while reducing the number of components and lightening the mechanism.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a general-purpose fabric holding hand capable of stably holding a necessary fabric with a simple means by visually recognizing the fabric, and mechanically holding the vicinity of the end edge of the fabric. When the pressing finger 2 is pressed to the fabrics 4 with the proper pressing force, the position between the first and second fabrics 4 from the upper face of the laminated fabrics 4 can be approximately known. The tip section 3a of a gripping finger 3 can be moved to the position almost near the insertion position, the position between the first and second fabrics 4 is correctly detected by a visual sensor, the position of the tip section 3a of the gripping finger 3 is finely adjusted, thus the tip section 3a can be correctly moved between the desired laminated fabrics 4.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To excellently measure the seam packer ring by converging an ultrasonic wave beam, irradiating the surface of a ground with the beam, receiving and converting its reflected wave into an electric signal, and displaying a light- shade image. CONSTITUTION:While moving an aerial ultrasonic sensor relatively along the ground surface, the sensor receives and converts the reflected wave into the electric signal, which is sent to a receiver and further sent to an image processor, so that processing for image generation is performed. Namely, this image processor converts the input signal into a binary signal first by an A/D converter. The binary-coded signal shows reflection intensity at each point and is sent to a computer, which converts this reflection intensity into a light-shade signal and displays the image on its screen or records it in a secondary storage device. Namely, the measurement result obtained by moving the sensor relatively along the ground surface is outputted as the image and then the seam packer ring can be displayed in the form of clear gradation variation.
