    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a gaseous fire extinguishing chemical formed by using polyfluoroamines having high-performance fire extinguishability without destroying the ozone layer as a substitutive material for Halon. CONSTITUTION:Fire is extinguishable without destroying the ozone layer if the polyfluoro-tertiary amine expressed by a general formula (CF3)2NRf(where Rf is respectively 1 to 2 polyfluoroalkyl group or alkenyl group) is used as the essential component of the gaseous fire extinguishing chemical.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily obtain in high yield from readily available raw materials the title compound useful as a heating medium or fluorine-based solvent, etc., by heating treatment of a specific perfluoro-nitrogen-containing carboxylic acid in a protonic solvent. CONSTITUTION:The objective compound of formula II can be obtained by heating treatment of a perfluoro(dialkylamino-substituted carboxylic acid) of formula I (Rf and Rf are each 1-5C perfluoroalkyl; Rf is 1-3C perfluoroalkylene) in a protonic solvent. It is preferable that water, DMF, or ethylene glycol be used as the protonic solvent in the case a free nitrogen-contg. perfluorocarboxylic acid is used, an acid fluoride used, or an alkali (alkaline earth) metal salt used, as the compound of the formula I, respectively. The reaction is preferably carried out normally at 50-200 deg.C for 1-24hr.
