Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain the humidity adjusting building material at a low cost by mixing allophane or imogolite and the setting hardening agent, and forming them for setting, or mixing the allophane or imogolite with the ceramics raw material, and burning it so as to form the building material for forming a space. CONSTITUTION: Allophane or imogolite as a main body of the volcanic ash soil is mixed with the setting hardening agent such as mortar, gypsum, slaked lime, dolomite, and water is added thereto for kneading at need, and after forming, it is hardened by steam curing. Or, allophane or imogolite is singly used, or mixed with the ceramics raw material, and formed, burned so as to form the humidity adjusting building material. In this case, the reinforcing material and the pigment can be added at need. This humidity adjusting building material is applied to wall, floor, ceiling, shelf, and door so as to absorb the moisture, and the generation of dew condensation and mold is prevented. The building material having the excellent' moisture absorbing characteristic can be thereby obtained at a low cost.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable continuous production and to improve the productivity by vertically moving the oscillating surface of an ultrasonic oscillator submerged in a molten metal so that the molten metal is dipped up, atomized and scattered by emergence and submergence. CONSTITUTION:The upward oscillating surface 5a of the oscillating part 5 of an ultrasonic oscillator 4 placed under a crucible 2 for melting a metal is submerged in a molten metal 3 in the crucible 2 through the bottom 11 of the crucible 2 to carry out ultrasonic oscillation. The whole oscillator 4 including the oscillating part 5 is vertically moved by a vertical driving mechanism 8. The oscillator 4 and the mechanism 8 are displaced by a vertical regulating mechanism 9. The molten metal 3 is dipped up, atomized and scattered by the oscillating surface 5a and the resulting solidified fine metal powder is recovered by a recovering mechanism 10.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce pulverous powder of a metal or alloy which has the narrow range of a grain size distribution and is stable in grain shape by dispersing uniformly an inert gas or reducing gas fed into the melt of the metal or alloy into a fine foam state by making use of ultrasonic oscillation. CONSTITUTION:A wire-shaped melting material 11 made of the metal or alloy fed by feed rollers 12 is heated and melted by a heater 2. The melt thereof is stored in a channel part 4 in a crucible 3. The inert gas or reducing gas such as Ar or H2 is then supplied from a gas supply part 10a of a gas flow passage 10 to pouring basin part 5. A horn 8 is vertically oscillated by an ultrasonic oscillation device 7 at the same instant. Then the above-mentioned gas is sheared to fine foam in the stage of passing through a space 9. The foam disperses and rises in the channel part 4. Cavitation is induced in the foam by the ultrasonic oscillation at the focus of the recessed surface 8a of the horn 8, by which the melt is atomized. The mist thereof is sucked by a water cooled impeller 15 rotating at a high speed, by which the mist is solidified. The solidified metal is recovered as the pulverous powder into a casing 16.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To realize the axial symmetry and to apply the enumeration formula of the thermal diffusivity in which an axial symmetry is presumed by rotating a sample in the infrared rays image furnace. CONSTITUTION:A sample 8 is cylindrical, and provided with the sheath type alumel chromel thermocouples 13-15, two pieces in the interior, one piece on the side surface and three pieces in total. The sample is place on a sample stand 12, the stand is fixed at a rotary shaft 22 held vertically by a bearing 18, and therefore, by the belt bridged between belt pulleys 19 and 20 which are not shown in the figure, the sample can be rotated by a motor 21. An infrared rays image furnace 9 corrects the edge surface in the upward and downward directions with thermal reflecting plates 11 and 16. By the output of the thermocouple 13, the infrared rays image furnace 9 is PID-controlled, a sample side surface is made into the prescribed temperature, and the output of the temperature difference of the thermocouples 14 and 15 at that time is recorded, thereby the thermal diffusivity is obtained.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a good anti-sweat property by forming a moisture adjusting construction material which provides high moisture absorption rate, copes with changes of moisture for a long time as well as changes of moisture for a short time, and adjusts moisture in a room properly. SOLUTION: A moisture adjusting construction material which has specific surface area of 10m /g or more and volume of pores having radius of 300Å or more of 0.1cc/g or more, preferably, specific surface area of 20m /g or more and volume of a pores having radius of 300Å or more of 0.2cc/g or more is formed. In the manufacture of the moisture adjusting construction material, 30 to 70 weight parts of Kanuma clay (produced in Kanuma, Japan), 20 to 50 weight parts of clay, and 10 to 20 weight parts of tile chamotte are blended, water is added to the blended materials to mold, dry, and bake it to manufacture the moisture adjusting construction material. Consequently, it is possible to form high function moisture adjusting construction material which has excellent moisture adjusting property and an excellent anti-sweat property.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To appropriately adjust the humidity in a room and prevent dewing and molds and ticks from generating and secure a pleasant space by using kaolinite independently or mixing it with other curing materials. CONSTITUTION:Kaolinite is mixed with slaked lime and water is added thereto. The mixture is kneaded to obtain a slurry material. The slurry is applied on a plasterboard by use of a trowel or the like. Thereafter, it is cured to obtain a wall material. As a result, the moisture in a room is absorbed well to reduce the moisture in the room. When a room is in a dried condition, the moisture retained in the inside is gradually evaporated to keep the room to be in an appropriate humid condition.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent vapor absorbing performance in a absorbing medium and make it possible to use it stably by using a medium to absorb vapor which includes at least one kind of nitrate selected from nitrates of alkali metal and nitrates of alkaline earth metal. CONSTITUTION:As a vapor absorbing medium the water solution of a nitrate of alkali metal, water solution of alkaline earth metal, and the water solution of a mixture of a nitrate of alkali metal and nitrate of alkaline earth metal are used. As a nitrate of alkali metal lithium nitrate, sodium nitrate, and potassium nitrate are, for instance, used. As a nitrate of alkaline earth metal calcium nitrate, magnesium nitrate, strontium nitrate, etc. are, for instance, used. Those nitrates are used individually or in a combination of more than two nitrates. The vapor absorbing medium in the invention has not only an excellent vapor absorbing capability but also a very low corrosiveness for metal materials and it is used preferably as a working medium for vapor absorbing in a chemical heat pump of absorption type, its refrigerator, etc.
