Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a firework composition remarkably lowered in sensitivity to friction and shock and capable of safely and readily carrying out its production and provide a method for producing the firework composition. SOLUTION: In this firework composition comprising a mixture of a coloring agent with an oxidizing agent, each of the coloring agent and the oxidizing agent is formed as a solid-like mixture with a rubber-like polymer. This method for producing the firework composition comprises mixing a curing agent- containing liquid rubber polymer capable of providing a rubber-like polymer with a coloring agent and adding and mixing an oxidizing agent with the resultant first mixture, then molding the resultant second mixture into a required shape to cure the mixture in solid-like shape.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain diamond with improved recovery efficiency by exploding underwater an organic explosive composition with the oxygen balance level adjusted negatively. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, a flammable material negative in oxygen balance level (e.g. 2,5-dibromo-4-nitrophenol) is added to a dynamite composition including cyclotetramethylene tetranitramine and picric acid followed by forming into an organic explosive composition -0.25--1.2 in oxygen balance level. Thence, this composition is set in a sealing tube with one end open, and the resulting sealed tube is suspended underwater at a position >=50cm in depth so that its major axis be nearly horizontal, and then exploded. The resultant tube is then lifted with its opening upward and left at rest, thus recovering the diamond produced.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve testing accuracy with high accuracy of setting a burst pressure by providing a protruding part, having a holding surface provided with angular parts biting in a bursting plate, and fixing a peripheral edge part of the bursting plate interposed between a fixing ring fixed to a vessel main unit and the protruding part. CONSTITUTION:A lower part 19a of a fixing ring 19 is formed flat to interpose a bursting plate 15 between the ring lower part 19a and a flat interposing surface 16 of a holding ring 13. Consequently, the bursting plate 15, pressed by the flat lower surface 19a of the fixing ring 19, is brought into contact with the holding ring 13 in only the flat interposing surface 16 of a circumferentially protruding part 14. Accordingly, a holding pressure of the bursting plate is uniformly large generated to surely provide a fixing condition of the bursting plate also with a high seal property without generating unnecessary stress such as giving an influence to a burst pressure, in the bursting plate 15. In the case of an explosive pressure acting, a problem is generated in slipping of peripheral edge part 15a of the bursting plate 15, but even when the explosive pressure is applied to the bursting plate 15, the peripheral edge part 15a of the bursting plate 15 is bitten by angular parts 17, 18 of the interposing surface 16, so that possibility is eliminated of the bursting plate 15 slided to the inner.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance the production yield of diamond by mixing a diamond powder with a mixture of a high explosive and the others. CONSTITUTION:A diamond powder is mixed with a high explosive such as HMX, RDX or the like, a mixture of two or more kinds of high explosives or a mixture of the high explosive and other org. matter such as paraffin or 2,5-dibromonitrobenzene or inorg. matter. At this time, the content of the high explosive is set to 60wt.% and the remainder is constituted of the diamond powder and the org. or inorg. matter. By this method, diamond is newly formed in high yield by about 6% with respect to the used explosive composition.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a clean energy by forming a nitrogen polymer by degrading- nitrogen-containing group by applying an energy to a nitrogen-containing compound. SOLUTION: This nitrogen polymer of the formula, Nn [(n) is 4-15] such as N5 and N10 is obtained by irradiating an energy source such as discharge, heat or light, preferably high power pulse ultraviolet rays to an azide compound and a diazo compound containing a nitrogen-containing group such as azide group and diazo group capable of releasing a nitrogen component having high reactivity by degradation to degrade the nitrogen-containing group, and to release the highly reactive nitrogen component such as nitrogen radical, azide cation and azide anion. The nitrogen-containing compound used as the raw material for producing the nitrogen polymer is the one in a solid state at a normal temperature, preferably having >=80 deg.C melting point, and the proportion of the nitrogen in the molecule is >=50 atomic %. The nitrogen-containing compound having >=50 atomic % nitrogen content is exemplified by an azide compound of formula I (nitrogen content is 80 atomic %), formula II (nitrogen content is 78 atomic %) or the formula, AgN3 (nitrogen content is 75 atomic %) and preferably the azide compound comprising two elements of N and C.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily synthesize high pressure-phase boron nitride by allowing an explosive composition containing an explosive and low pressure-phase boron nitride to explode in water. CONSTITUTION:The explosive composition consists of an explosive such as TNT, HMX, etc., and low pressure-phase boron nitride such as hexagonal boron nitride. This composition is made to explode in water at the depth where the objective reaction product cannot scatter outside. Then a high pressure-phase boron nitride is obtained in water by this in-water explosion. Since the reaction product has large density than water, it easily precipitates. Thereby, apparatus such as the container can be repeatedly used and the objective product can be collected continuously at one time.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire extinguishing device capable of spraying a fire extinguishing chemical in the air safely and surely to a fire spot and a fire extinguishing method using it. SOLUTION: This fire extinguishing device including a device main body formed by sealing a fire extinguishing chemical 4 and an explosive 2 in a container 1, and an igniting device 17 for igniting the explosive. This fire extinguishing method is characterized in that the fire extinguishing device is dropped in the air to a fire spot, the igniting device is operated, and the explosive is caused explosive-combustion to spray the fire extinguishing chemical.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To instantaneously decompose a stable org. halide and to convert it to a harmless material by decomposing the org. halide under conditions of a high temp. and high pressure induced by the explosion of an explosive. SOLUTION: A raw material to be treated which consists of the org. halide and the explosive are packed into a pressure resistant vessel and this explosive is exploded. The temp. in the vessel instantaneously forms the high-temp. and high-pressure conditions consisting of a temp. above 2000 deg.C, more preferably above 3000 deg.C and a pressure above 100,000 atm, more preferably >=200,000 atm. The upper limit value of the temp. is usually 4000 deg.C and the upper limit value of the pressure is usually 300,000 atm. When the org. halide is subjected to the high-temp. and high-pressure conditions, the org. halide decomposes instantaneously and is made non-polluting. The amt. of the explosive to be used suffices with the amt. at which the high-temp. and high-pressure conditions may be formed within the pressure resistant vessel. In the case where the org. halide is made non-polluting by the explosion treatment, inorg. oxides, such as CaO and MgO, may be preferably made present in the reaction system thereof.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to easily repeat explosion by a desired number of repetitions and to facilitate the recovery of a reaction product by exploding a starting material mixture of an explosive with graphite in water. CONSTITUTION:A starting material mixture of an explosive with graphite is press-molded so as to attain >=1.4 g/cm density and the resulting molded body is charged into a pipe with one end or both ends open as required. The molded body or the pipe is suspended in water in a water tank at >=50cm depth of water. After explosion, the supernatant liq. is removed and the deposit is recovered. The metals in the deposit are dissolved and removed with nitric acid, the residual graphite is removed with a mixed soln. of hydrochloric acid and nitric acid and then the deposit is treated with a mixed soln. of hydrofluoric acid and nitric acid to obtain high purity diamond.
