    Abstract: A lithotriptor is disclosed, which comprises an outer slender tube having an outside diameter small enough to be inserted into the organ growing a stone therein and an inner member disposed inside the outer slender tube. The inner member or the outer slender member incorporates therein an explosive layer or a gas-generating layer, ignition means for igniting the explosive layer or the gas-generating layer, and a closing member for preventing rearward advance of the gas evolved during the explosion of the explosive layer or the gas-generating layer.     Abstract: PURPOSE:To safely perform treatment without generating an unnecessary stimulus and imparting a feeling of uneasiness to a patient, by arranging a shock wave generating source such as detonator at the first focus of a converging reflecting mirror and positioning the effective spot of a body to be treated such as a human body at the second focus where the shock wave thereof is converged to apply a stimulus to said effective spot. CONSTITUTION:Detonator or other shock wave generating source 1 is positioned at the first focus A of a converging reflecting mirror 2 to generate a shock wave. Next, the generated shock wave transmits through the water 3 being the pressure propagating medium in the converging reflecting mirror 2 to be reflected and propagated. Further, the effective spot 8 of a body 7 to be treated such as a human body is positioned at the second focus B to apply a stimulus to the effective spot 8. The pressure at the second focus B in this case is 70-90kg/cm when the detonator 3mg being the shock wave generating source 1 is exploded and, at the position separated by 50mm from the second focus B at this time, said pressure becomes 0.5-2kg/cm and the shock wave is clear ly converged to the second focus 8 and no unnecessary stimulus is applied to a place other than the effective spot 8.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title shattering agent capable of preventing the occurrence of spouting phenomenon through partial delay of reaction with water and having excellent shattering efficiency, by partially or entirely fusing a static shattering agent to a particular powdery thermoplastic resin. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. static shattering agent is blended and uniformly mixed with 2-50pts.wt. at least one powdery thermoplastic resin having a melting temp. of 30-50 deg.C and selected from among PE, PP, PS, acryl, polyacetal, PVC and polymethyl methacrylate. The mixture is heated to melt the resin, followed by granulation. Thus, there is obtained a solid static shattering agent having an apparent specific gravity of 1.0-2.0 and comprising a shattering agent which is partly or entirely fused to a resin. The solid static shattering agent is kneaded and mixed with water or water and a static shattering agent to obtain a slurry. An opening of an object to be shattered which has been previously bored is filled with the slurry so that the amount of the slurry is 30-80% based on the volume of the opening.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to easily repeat explosion by a desired number of repetitions and to facilitate the recovery of a reaction product by exploding a starting material mixture of an explosive with graphite in water. CONSTITUTION:A starting material mixture of an explosive with graphite is press-molded so as to attain >=1.4 g/cm density and the resulting molded body is charged into a pipe with one end or both ends open as required. The molded body or the pipe is suspended in water in a water tank at >=50cm depth of water. After explosion, the supernatant liq. is removed and the deposit is recovered. The metals in the deposit are dissolved and removed with nitric acid, the residual graphite is removed with a mixed soln. of hydrochloric acid and nitric acid and then the deposit is treated with a mixed soln. of hydrofluoric acid and nitric acid to obtain high purity diamond.
