    Abstract: PURPOSE:To efficiently adsorb uranium in seawater on an adsorbent and to extract uranium by arranging plural hung pipes provided with many basket bodies having an opening for the uranium adsorbent to go in and out in seawater, and utilizing an oceanic current and wave power. CONSTITUTION:Plural floats 1 are arranged at regular intervals on the sea by a connecting rope 2, a long hung pipe 3 of rubber, etc., with the upper end opened on the upper surface of the float 1 as the entrance 4 for the uranium adsorbent is hung from each float 1, and many basket bodies 5 are skewered on the hung pipe 3 to form plural adsorption beds. Four openings 8 are provided to the basket body 5, and a damper 9 free to open and close is fixed to the upper edge. The uranium adsorbent is injected into the adsorption bed of each basket body 5 by the sand pump of a marine working boat, and uranium is extracted. The adsorption bed of the basket body 5 is vertically oscillated even by a low wave, the damper 8 is one-sidedly opened and closed by seawater energized by the oceanic current and wave power to pass seawater, the uranium in seawater is continuously adsorbed on the adsorbent in the adsorption bed, and uranium is desorbed and recovered on the working boat. The adsorbent after recovery is again supplied to the adsorption bed, and used for adsorbing uranium.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To Enhancing the traveling capability of a crawler vehicle on an uneven and weak off-road area, etc. by coupling a plurality of rectangular frames longitudinally arranged, foldably with each other to form a flexible vehicle frame and by stretching crawler belts between crawler wheels provided to the vehicle frames. CONSTITUTION:A flexible crawler comprises a flexible vehicle frame 10 composed of flat plate-like rectangular frames 10a, 10a which are arranged parallelly in the longitudinal direction and which are foldably coupled with each other by means of horizontal coupling shafts 11. Each rectangular frame 10a is proviced on the lower surface thereof with right and left bearings 15 for the axles of crawler wheels 12, and the rectangular frames 10a are hinged together through stepped sections formed by cutting out one flat end section of the vehicle frames 10a by one half of the width of the vehicle frames, alternately, through-holes for receiving the horizontal coupling shafts 11 being formed piercing through the stepped sections. In order to use rear wheels 12 as drive wheels, gears 16 are fitted on the axles of the rear wheels 12 which are therefore rotated thereby. The axles of auxiliary wheels 14 are supported on the axles of the intermediate section wheels 12 through the intermediary of joint members 17 with the auxiliary wheels 14 being made to abut against the outside surface of the crawler belts 13 stretched between the front and rear wheels 12.
