    Abstract: PURPOSE:To increase the uranium-adsorbing velocity by adding acrylic fiber having a specified fiber length and fineness into a methanol solution containing hydroxylamine, by heating said solution while stirring to change said fiber into the amidoxime and at the same time by molding said amidoxime into a globular shape. CONSTITUTION:The acrylic fiber having 5-30 mm fiber length and >=3d fiber diameter is added into the methanol solution containing hydroxylamine, and is heated while stirring to change said acrylic fiber into the amidoxime and at the same time to mold said amidoxime into a globular matter, thus the globular adsorbent is obtained. The resultant globular shape can also be surface- treated with a hydrophilic binder. The content of hydroxylamine in the solvent solution is generally about 1-5 wt% and the weight ratio of the acrylic fiber to hydroxyl amine is about 1:1-1:2. Methanol, methanol-water, etc., are used as the solvent.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To form simply a sprayed film having the adhesive degree of a high reliability, by supplying metal or inorganic material to high energy density part where laser beams are converged by a condenser lenses, heating, melting and blasting the material with gaseous flow to a material to be sprayed. CONSTITUTION:The laser beams 1 irradiated from a laser generator 1' are introduced into a spray nozzle 5 having a connecting part 6 for lenses protecting gas, a connecting part 7a for powder and carrier gas thereof and a connecting part 8 for high pressure gas, etc. through the condenser lenses 2, and conveyed to a focus 3 outside a main nozzle 9. A wire 13 of metal or inorganic material or powder is supplied to the focus 3 from a wire supplying apparatus 12' or powder supplying apparatus through a wire supplying tip 12 or a nozzle 7b, heated and melted thereat. The molten material is blasted by gaseous flow jetted from a high pressure gas nozzle 10, to the material 14 to be sprayed, heated by irradiation of the beams 1 and moving in arrow direction, to form the sprayed film 15.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To Enhancing the traveling capability of a crawler vehicle on an uneven and weak off-road area, etc. by coupling a plurality of rectangular frames longitudinally arranged, foldably with each other to form a flexible vehicle frame and by stretching crawler belts between crawler wheels provided to the vehicle frames. CONSTITUTION:A flexible crawler comprises a flexible vehicle frame 10 composed of flat plate-like rectangular frames 10a, 10a which are arranged parallelly in the longitudinal direction and which are foldably coupled with each other by means of horizontal coupling shafts 11. Each rectangular frame 10a is proviced on the lower surface thereof with right and left bearings 15 for the axles of crawler wheels 12, and the rectangular frames 10a are hinged together through stepped sections formed by cutting out one flat end section of the vehicle frames 10a by one half of the width of the vehicle frames, alternately, through-holes for receiving the horizontal coupling shafts 11 being formed piercing through the stepped sections. In order to use rear wheels 12 as drive wheels, gears 16 are fitted on the axles of the rear wheels 12 which are therefore rotated thereby. The axles of auxiliary wheels 14 are supported on the axles of the intermediate section wheels 12 through the intermediary of joint members 17 with the auxiliary wheels 14 being made to abut against the outside surface of the crawler belts 13 stretched between the front and rear wheels 12.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce pulverous powder which has various forms of structure and is excellent in practicability by a simple method by irradiating an inorg. wire with the condensed laser beam to melt the wire and blowing various gases to the molten part of the wire thereby forming the pulverous particles. CONSTITUTION:The laser beam 1 is converged by a condenser lens 2 and the metallic wire which is stock for forming the pulverous powder is fed from a wire feed nozzle 3 to the converged part thereto so that the wire is heated and melted. The high pressure gas is blown from the tip of a gas nozzle 4 to the molten metal to pulverize the molten part of the metallic wire, by which the pulverous powder is obtd. The kind of the gas to be blown to the wire is properly selected according to the kind of the pulverous powder to be produced.
