    Abstract: A lithotriptor is disclosed, which comprises an outer slender tube having an outside diameter small enough to be inserted into the organ growing a stone therein and an inner member disposed inside the outer slender tube. The inner member or the outer slender member incorporates therein an explosive layer or a gas-generating layer, ignition means for igniting the explosive layer or the gas-generating layer, and a closing member for preventing rearward advance of the gas evolved during the explosion of the explosive layer or the gas-generating layer.     Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a lithoclastic agent capable of breaking a calculus with dilation pressure when filled into a preliminarily bored hole of a calculus, and having excellent safety, by using a dilation material developing dilation pressure by the hydration reaction with water, and forming the material in powdery, rod-like or tablet form, etc. CONSTITUTION:A dilation material developing dilation pressure by the hydration reaction with water (e.g. static disintegration agent, dilation material for cement concrete, quick lime, calcined dolomite, etc.) is formed in the form of powder, rod, tablet or granule to obtain a lithoclastic agent to effect the static breakage of the calculus in an organ. The static disintegration agent is e.g. Chemiax (product of Denki Kagaku Kogyo Co.), S-mite (product of Sumitomo Cement Co.), etc., and the dilation material for cement concrete is e.g. Sax (product of Sumitomo Cement Co.). The lithoclastic agent is inserted into the hole bored preliminarily to a calculus with a boring electrical drill, etc., and the calculus is disintegrated by the dilation pressure caused by hydration reaction.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To safely perform treatment without generating an unnecessary stimulus and imparting a feeling of uneasiness to a patient, by arranging a shock wave generating source such as detonator at the first focus of a converging reflecting mirror and positioning the effective spot of a body to be treated such as a human body at the second focus where the shock wave thereof is converged to apply a stimulus to said effective spot. CONSTITUTION:Detonator or other shock wave generating source 1 is positioned at the first focus A of a converging reflecting mirror 2 to generate a shock wave. Next, the generated shock wave transmits through the water 3 being the pressure propagating medium in the converging reflecting mirror 2 to be reflected and propagated. Further, the effective spot 8 of a body 7 to be treated such as a human body is positioned at the second focus B to apply a stimulus to the effective spot 8. The pressure at the second focus B in this case is 70-90kg/cm when the detonator 3mg being the shock wave generating source 1 is exploded and, at the position separated by 50mm from the second focus B at this time, said pressure becomes 0.5-2kg/cm and the shock wave is clear ly converged to the second focus 8 and no unnecessary stimulus is applied to a place other than the effective spot 8.
