    Abstract: PURPOSE:To raise the critical temp. above the temp. of liq. oxygen by embedding a single crystal having a Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 structure(2212 phase) in a specified oxide powder and heat-treating the powder. CONSTITUTION:The raw materials are mixed so that Bi=1.00, Sr=0.5-1.5, Ca=1.0-3.0, Cu=1.0-5.0 and Pb=0.2-1.0 in the atomic compositional ratio, and the mixture is sintered at 800-860 deg.C for 5-100 hr in an oxygen atmosphere and then pulverized to obtain an oxide powder. A single crystal consisting of Bi, Sr, Ca, Cu and O and having a Bi2Sr2CaCu3O8 structure(2212 phase) or a single crystal consisting of Bi, Sr, Cu and O and having a Bi2Sr2Cu1O6 structure (2201 phase) is then embedded in the oxide powder, and the powder is heat-treated at 830-860 deg.C for 50-200 hr to obtain a superconducting single crystal with the atomic compositional ratio expressed by the formula (0

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a cyrstalline sintered material useful as a detecting material for humidity sensor, having improved moisture responsive properties, by mixing blended powder of V2O3, TeO2 and Li2O with Ag2O to give raw material powder, melting the powder under heating, grinding the molten material to give glass powder, molding the glass powder and sintering it. CONSTITUTION:A base component mixture consisting of 52.5-57.5wt% V2O3, 40.0-45.0wt% TeO2 and 2.5-7.5wt% Li2O is further mixed with 8.0-12.0pts.wt. Ag2O to give starting raw material powder, which is melted under heating and made into glass. Then, the glass is ground to give glass powder, which is molded into a desired shape and sintered to give a moisture responsive sintered material of glass powder. The sintered material having improved susceptibility to moisture is obtained by common raw materials, given sintering can be carried out without requiring specific facilities and operation for crystal control and this process is advantageous with respect to cost. It is useful as a detecting material for humidity sensor used for various industrial devices, household electrical appliances, etc.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel hydrophilic hologram recording material having an excellent adhesion property to a hydrophilic surface, holding stability of a hologram and excellent handling quality. SOLUTION: This recording medium compsn. contains (A) polyethylene glycol of a mol.wt. of 5,000 to 30,000, (B) at least one of an oligomer and monomer having a refractive index of >=1.50 and having a (meth)acryloyl group as a photopolymerizable group and (C) a photoinitiator, in which the weight ratio of the component (A) and the component (B) is 1:9 to 3:7.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a bendable superconducting fibrous crystal by adding a specific amount of a specific element as an auxiliary component to a raw material for a Bi2Sr2CaCu2Ox superconductor, melting and then quenching the mixture and heat-treating the obtained solid in oxygen gas stream. CONSTITUTION:A superconducting fibrous crystal having atomic ratios of Bi2Sr2 CaCu2Ox (x is 7.8-8.2) is produced by preparing a molten mixture having atomic ratios of Bi=1, Sr=0.7 to 1.3, Ca=0.7 to 1.5. Cu=1.5 to 2.5, O=3.5 to 8.8 and M=0.15 to 0.35 (M is one or more elements selected from Pb, Sn, Sb, In, Cd, Ga, Ge, K and Na), quenching the molten mixture and heat-treating the obtained solid in oxygen gas stream. The obtained superconducting fibrous crystal has a merit of bendability and is suitable e.g. as a magnet material for the generation of magnetic field.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make improvement in preservable stability by making combination use of methylene blue and triethanol amine as a photopolymn. initiator. CONSTITUTION:This hologram recording material is constituted of allyl diglycol carbonate, 2, 2-bis[3, 5-dibromo-4-(2-methacryloyloxyethoxy)phenyl]propane and the photopolymn. initiator. The methylene blue and triethanol amine are used in combination as the photopolymn. initiator. The polymerized compsn. which is high in refractive index in the part of a large light quantity and is conversely low in refractive index in the part of a small light quantity is formed when interference patterns are exposed to this hologram recording material. The interference patterns are recorded in real time by refractive modulation as the reflection of the compsn. distribution corresponding to the light quantity. The recording is stably maintained over a long period of time in this way.
