    Abstract: Systems and methods for providing and managing docked browser tabs are provided. In one exemplary method, a webpage is open in a first tab in a browser application on an electronic device. In response to one or more inputs, the state of the webpage in the first tab is changed. A user requests to open the webpage in a second tab, different from the first tab. In accordance with a determination that the webpage is associated with a docked tab and that the first tab is a docked tab, the webpage is presented with the state of the webpage in the first tab. In accordance with a determination that the webpage is associated with a standard tab and that the first tab is not a docked tab, the webpage is presented in the second tab with a state different from the state of the webpage in the first tab.

    Abstract: Methods and systems for associating, in a secure manner, a link between web sites (or other network resources) and installed applications. In one embodiment, a signed list of one or more URLs is downloaded and validated to establish an association, which is stored in a data structure, between a first application and a second application. In response to receiving a selection of a URL in the second application, comparing the selected URL to URLs in the data structure and displaying, in the first application, content of the selected URL in response to determining that at least a prefix portion of the selected URL matches one of the URLs associated with the first application in the data structure.

    Abstract: An electronic device displays a media capture user interface that includes a media capture preview of objects in a field of view of the camera. While displaying the media capture user interface, the electronic device scans the field of view of the camera for data encoded in an optical machine-readable format. In accordance with a determination that the field of view of the camera includes data encoded in the optical machine-readable format that meets respective notification criteria, the electronic device displays a notification that indicates that the camera application has detected data encoded in the optical machine-readable format. In accordance with a determination that the field of view of the camera does not include data encoded in the optical machine-readable format that meets the respective notification criteria, the electronic device maintains display of the media capture user interface of the camera application without displaying the notification. An electronic device displays an image. While displaying the image, the electronic device receives an input indicative of a request for additional information corresponding to the image. In response to receiving the request for additional information corresponding to the image and in accordance with a determination that the image includes data encoded in an optical machine-readable format that meets respective threshold criteria, the electronic device displays information corresponding to the data encoded in the optical machine-readable format. In accordance with a determination that the image does not include data encoded in the optical machine-readable format that meets respective threshold criteria, the electronic device displays additional information about the image without displaying information corresponding to data encoded in the optical machine-readable format. A device detects proximity of the device to an encoded feature. In response to detecting proximity of the device to the encoded feature, the device displays a notification. In accordance with a determination that the encoded feature is a first type of encoded feature, the notification includes a first indication of the first type of encoded feature. In accordance with a determination that the encoded feature is a second type of encoded feature that is different from the first type of encoded feature, the notification includes a second indication of the second type of encoded feature. The second indication is a graphical indication.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for disabling one or more plugins associated with a browser application are provided. In one exemplary method, a plugin is installed on an electronic device, and the device receives data from a data source, where that data is associated with the installed plugin. Whether the installed plugin meets a disabling criteria is determined. In accordance with a determination that the installed plugin meets a disabling criteria: performance of a function with the installed plugin is foregone; and it is reported to the data source that the installed plugin is not installed on the electronic device.     Abstract: The present aspects relate to audio management for a web browser. For example, an electronic device such as a mobile device may enable a user to navigate to a webpage within a web browser. In some embodiments, the webpage may automatically initiate presentation of audio content. However, the user may wish to quickly silence the audio content that is playing without locating the media player controls of the audio content within the webpage. Accordingly, the present aspects provide audio control for a web browser. Specifically, an audio control affordance may be displayed at a noticeable and recognizable position or area in the web browser, and based on a determination that a webpage includes audio content and/or determination of playback of the audio content. The user may in turn readily adjust a property of the audio content.
