The method includes displaying, on the display, a playback status indicator regarding playback of a media item. The method includes displaying, on the display, an image associated with the media item. The method includes detecting an input interacting with the image. In response to a first portion of the input, the method includes adjusting the appearance of the image on the display in accordance with the first portion of the input. Abstract:
Listings of media content items can be presented on a user device in an ownership agnostic matter. For instance, a user device can interact with both a streaming media service and a personal media collection, portions of which might or might not be hosted by the streaming media service. A listing of media content items that satisfy selection criteria can be presented in a page with multiple tabs. One tab can include a listing of all content items from the streaming music service that satisfy the criteria, regardless of whether the content items are associated with the user's personal collection. Another tab can include a listing of all content items in the user's personal collection that satisfy the criteria, regardless of whether the content items are in the catalog of the streaming music service.

The present disclosure generally relates to user interfaces for enabling an activity using a computer system. In some embodiments, exemplary user interfaces for invoking an activity associated with an application are described. In some embodiments, exemplary user interfaces for customizing displayed content based on circumstances under which the content was invoked are described. In some embodiments, exemplary user interfaces for managing applications that were used to enable activities are described. In some embodiments, exemplary user interfaces for managing settings for applications used to enable activities are described.
Abstract:
Improved techniques and apparatus for managing data between a host device (e.g., host computer) and a media device are disclosed. The data being managed can, for example, pertain to media data for media assets. The managing of the media data thus can involve transfer of media assets between the host device and the media device. In one embodiment, the transfer of media assets between a host device and a media device can be referred to as synchronization.
Abstract:
Methods and systems provide synchronized sharing of multimedia between multiple devices. The multiple devices may form an ad-hoc network for sharing of multimedia. In an embodiment, group members may have playlist manipulation privileges such as pausing, rewinding, fast forwarding, or adding tracks to the playlist (116). A system may stream or distribute content according to the shared playlist (116). Playback may be synchronized for group members so that everyone is exposed to a same part of the content at the same time.
Abstract:
Techniques for creating and purchasing ringtones for use in electronic devices, such as mobile phones (e.g., cellular phones) or other telephone- enabled devices (e.g., Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs), multi-function devices) are disclosed. These techniques can use a media management application and/or an online media store to browse, create, edit, purchase, and/or download ringtones for use in mobile phones or other telephone-enabled devices. Further, these techniques can be used to manage ringtones on one or more devices, including personal computers, mobile phones, and telephone-enabled devices.
Abstract:
Methods, systems and apparatus that facilitate activation of mobile devices, such as communication devices or multi-function devices, via a computer are disclosed. According to one aspect of the invention, a mobile device can be forced into a limited service mode until properly activated with a service provider for a wireless network. According to another aspect of the invention, a mobile device can defer its attempt to send a location update request to a wireless network. According to still another aspect of the invention, a mobile device can be automatically controlled to reset a portion of its internal hardware to initiate a location update request.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, computer-readable media, and apparatuses for providing enhanced user interfaces and functionalities for internet radio applications are presented. In some embodiments, a computer system may provide a user interface that includes one or more regions configured to control playback of an internet radio station. The computer system then may determine, based on music purchase history associated with a user account, whether a selected song associated with the internet radio station has been previously purchased. In response to determining that the selected song has not been previously purchased, the computer system may display a user-selectable control that enables the selected song to be purchased. On the other hand, in response to determining that the selected song has been previously purchased, the computer system may display a user-selectable control that enables the selected song to be downloaded.
Abstract:
Media bundles described herein can associate digital media assets so as to be able to provide media presentations involving the digital media assets at a client device. A media bundle can be used on a client device to support media presentation of digital media assets at the client device. The media presentation can provide a multimedia experience for the user of the client device. Conversion data can be provided to the client device to facilitate mapping from provider identifiers within the media bundle to identifiers used by a media distribution system.
