Abstract:
A tablet device includes a display configured to present visual content, a sensor array configured to detect a status of a foldable flap in relation to the display, and a processor configured to operate the tablet device in accordance with the determined status of the foldable flap in relation to the display. In one embodiment, the processor receives a setting value and uses the setting value to execute an application in accordance with the determined relationship of the flap and the display.
Abstract:
An electronic device: displays a home button configuration user interface with a plurality of different tactile output settings for the home button. While displaying the home button configuration user interface, the device detects selection of a respective tactile output setting. In response to detecting a first input of a first type on the home button (while the respective tactile output setting is selected), the device determines whether the respective tactile output setting is a first or a second tactile output setting for the home button. If the respective tactile output setting is the first tactile output setting, the device provides a first tactile output without dismissing the home button configuration user interface. If the respective tactile output setting is the second tactile output setting, the device provides a second tactile output without dismissing the home button configuration user interface.
Abstract:
An electronic device detecting an alert event; and, in response, delays provision of feedback indicative of the alert event until determining whether the electronic device is in a first use context or in a second use context. In response to determining whether the electronic device is in the first use context or the second use context, the device, in accordance with a determination that the electronic device is in the first use context, provides first feedback indicative of the alert event. The device, in accordance with a determination that the electronic device is in the second use context that is distinct from the first use context, provides second feedback indicative of the alert event.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are systems, devices, and methods for dynamically updating a touch-sensitive secondary display. An example method includes receiving a request to open an application and, in response, (i) displaying, on a primary display, a plurality of user interface (UI) objects associated with the application, the plurality including a first UI object displayed with associated content and other UI objects displayed without associated content; and (ii) displaying, on the touch-sensitive secondary display, a set of affordances representing the plurality of UI objects. The method also includes: detecting, via the touch-sensitive secondary display, a swipe gesture in a direction from a first affordance and towards a second affordance, the first affordance representing the first UI object and the second affordance represents a distinct second UI object. In response to detecting the swipe gesture, the method includes: updating the primary display to display associated content for the second UI object.

Abstract:
A system comprising a first control assembly (230) comprising a first sensor (236) and a first indicator (235), the first sensor configured to receive a first user input and control a presentation of the first indicator in response to the first user input; and a second indicator (205) configured to receive a signal from the first sensor of the first control assembly, the signal synchronizing a presentation of the second indicator with the presentation of the first indicator.
