    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct errors of transmitted digital signals even when there is channel noise in a multiple access communication system. SOLUTION: Encoders 2-(i,j) Kronecker-multiply a Hadamard matrix of a prescribed order q with a prescribed spread spectrum sequence, generate the spread spectrum sequence of the result, multiply the generated spread spectrum sequence with inputted digital signals and output the multiplied result as encoded signals. A decoder 25 converts reception signals including a plurality of the encoded signals so as to be represented in the form of a matrix, multiplies the converted matrix by the Hadamard matrix, generates the matrix of the result, executes an error correction processing by changing respective components of the matrix so as to be a closest multiple of order q, calculates intermediate signal vectors for the respective encoded signals by dividing the error-corrected matrix by the order q and decodes the digital signals corresponding to the respective encoded signals from the calculated intermediate signal vectors.     Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform adaptive control so that convergence time is significantly reduced, a main beam is directed to a wanted wave while null is directed to an interference wave with less calculation amount. SOLUTION: An adaptive control type controller 20 halves the range of reactance values which variable reactance elements 12 can take. The correlation factor between a reception signal and a learning sequence signal is calculated when a central value of each range after halving is set.
