    Abstract: A radio communication system (100) comprising radio units (10, 30), an antenna (11), and an array antenna (20). The radio units (10, 30) transmit/receive specified signals through the antenna (11) and the array antenna (20) at the same frequency by a time division duplex (TDD) transmission/reception system, for example, while varying the directivity of the array antenna (20) among a plurality of directivities. The radio units (10, 30) detect the intensity of a plurality of received radio waves and create receiving signal profiles (RSSI1, RSSI2) indicative of a plurality of intensity profiles. The radio units (10, 30) represent the plurality of intensities of the receiving signal profiles (RSSI1, RSSI2) in multi-values and create private keys (Ks1, Ks2) having a bit pattern of the plurality of multi-values.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate preliminary operation to give data on an incident angle of a receiving signal to an ESPA antenna device, and to perform an adaptive control to direct a main beam to a direction of a desired wave and a null level to an interference potential. SOLUTION: An array antenna device 100 of the ESPA antenna receives a learning sequence signal including the signal transmitted by a communicating party. The adaptive controller 200 in the array antenna generates another learning sequence signal with the same signal pattern as the received one. An estimation function is established for expressing a predetermined difference between the received learning sequence signal and the generated one in the controller 200. The estimation function is developed by means of statistical approximation to obtain variable reactances. Further, a recursive equation is obtained with respect to the variable reactances 12-1 to 12-6 to calculate the reactance value for minimizing the estimation function. Thus, by setting the variable reactance to minimize the estimation function, the array antenna can be controlled to direct the main beam in the direction of the desired wave and the null level in the direction of the interference potential.
