Preferably A completes a naphthalene or benzene ring optionally substituted by NO 2 , Cl, CH 3 , N(CH 3 ) 2 , SO 2 N(CH 3 ) 2 , CO 2 H or CONHC 6 H 5 , pnitrophenylazo or (p-phenylazo)phenylazo, and Me is Cu or Ni. The dyes may be prepared by condensing ortho- OHO-A-OH with 2-(8- aminoquinolyl-(2))-indandione-(1,3) to form an azomethine dye of formula and simultaneously or subsequently treating with a metallizing agent.

    Abstract: Stove enamels for electro-deposition contain as binder a mixture, present at least partially in the form of salt of ammonia or volatile water soluble organic amines, and dissolved or dispersed in water, or (1) 60-90 parts of a copolymer and (2) 10-40 parts of a phenolic resin base on a condensation product of formaldehyde and a mixture of mono- or polynuclear phenols, the copolymer consisting of 25-60% vinylaromatic cpd. 5-40% conjugated C4-6 diolefin, 2-50% maleic acid half-ester and 5-20% c polymerizable olefinically unsaturated C3-20 monocarboxylic acid or its ester with mono- to trihydric alcohols.
