Abstract: 2-Carbamic acid esters of 2,4-diamino-5-(3',4',5'-trimethoxybenzyl)-pyrimidine (trimethoprim), a process for their preparation, and drugs containing these compounds, which, as pro-drugs of trimethoprim, have valuable antibacterial properties and potentiate the antibacterial action of sulfonamides.
