Abstract: Substantially salt-free aqueous solutions of ionic dyes are prepared by electrodialysis by a method in which the flow rate of the diluate 2 (=the solution being treated) is lower than that of the concentrate 1, preferably more than 15% lower. The method is particularly suitable for reactive dyes.
