    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing pure xylylenediamine (XDA) by continuous distillation of crude xylylenediamine (XDA) in a column, by using a side stream distillation column, the XDA being drawn off through the lateral discharge and the bottom product of the distillation column being further concentrated in an additional concentration step. The condensate obtained in the concentration step is returned to the side draw distillation column.
