Abstract: A process for carrying out a liquid/solid reaction comprises a) preparing a reaction suspension in which a first reactant is present in suspended form and a second reactant is present in dissolved form in a suspension medium, where one of the reaction products is insoluble in the suspension medium, b) passing the reaction suspension through an elongated reaction zone so that the Reynolds number of the stream is less than 20,000 and c) separating off the insoluble reaction product formed. The process has the advantage that the insoluble reaction product is obtained in a readily filterable form.

Abstract: A process for preparing polyether polyols includes a precipitation step, a recrystallization step, and a reaction step. In the precipitation step, a multimetal cyanide compound is precipitated by reaction of a metal salt with a cyanometalate compound. In the recrystallization step, the multimetal cyanide compound precipitated above is recrystallized by adding further metal salt and/or further cyanometalate compound. The recrystallization forms a multimetal cyanide catalyst compound. In the reaction step, an initiator and one or more alkylene oxide are reacted in the presence of the multimetal cyanide catalyst compound.

Abstract: La invencion se refiere a un metodo para llevar a cabo una reaccion de solido-liquido, de acuerdo con la cual: a ) una suspension de reaccion se prepara, la cual contiene un primer reactivo, que esta suspendido en un medio de suspension, y un segundo reactivo, el cual se disuelve en el mismo, no de los productos de reaccion es insoluble en el medio de suspension; b) la suspension de reaccion es guiada a traves de una zona de reaccion larga, el numero de Reynolds del flujo es menor de 20,000 y c) el producto de reaccion insoluble formado es separado. Este metodo es ventajoso en que el producto de reaccion insoluble es obtenido en la forma la cual es facil de filtrar.
