Abstract: Monoalkyl orthophosphate(s) (I) contg. =50 wt.% di-/trialkyl orthophosphates (wherein the alkyl moieties contain 8-30C) are used as foam inhibiters in cationic detergent formulations. The detergent formulations are used in dishwashing machines. Besides being unexpectedly compatible with cationic surfactants (I) have a disinfecting action.
