Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing composite bodies consisti ng of at least one covering layer (4) and a rigid foamed material (5) based on isocyanate, the covering layer (4) being continuously moved and the start ing material for the rigid foamed material (5) based on isocyanate being app lied to the covering layer (4). The invention is characterised in that the a pplication of the liquid starting material for the rigid foamed material (5) based on isocyanate is carried out by means of a fixed tube (3) provided wi th boreholes and oriented towards the covering layer (4) in such a way that it is parallel and at a right angle to the direction of movement.

Abstract: Polyether polyols (I) produced by reacting polyfunctional alcohols with ethylene oxide or an alkylene oxide mixture comprising mainly ethylene oxide are used to reduce the flame retardant content of hard polyurethane foams. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) process for producing flame-retarded hard polyurethane foams by reacting a polyisocyanate with a polyol component comprising a compound with two isocyanate-reactive hydrogen atoms, a flame retardant, a blowing agent and a catalyst, where the polyol component includes 13-45 wt.% of a polyether polyol of type (I); and (2) hard polyurethane foams obtainable by the process of (1).
