    Abstract: Pigments of formula F.Het (I) in which F = the cation of a cationic dye with an absorption maximum of greater than 700 nm, and which may contain anionic gps., and Het = an anion of a heteropolyacid based on W and/or Mo with P, Si, V, Al, Mn, Cr and/or Ni or a Cu(I)-hexacanoferrate-(II)-anion (Cu3Fe(CN)6)(-), the pigments being obtd. by laking the cationic dye with the heteropolyacid. Claimed cpds. (I) have F = the cation of a dye of formula in which R1 and R2 independenlty = 1-4C alkyl, phenyl (opt. substd. by OH, 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy or halogen) or heteroaryl; Z = -(CH2-)r where R = 2 or 3; T = phenyl or halogen; X = O or S; one of the gps. R3 or R4 = (II) and theother of R3 and R4 = phenyl (opt. substd. by 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy, halogen or -4-N(R5)(R6)); R5 and R6 independently = H, 1-6C alkyl, 2-6C hydroxyalkyl, 1-4C alkoxy-(2-3C) alkyl, allyl, 2-((2-4C)-alkanoyloxy)-ethyl or 2-cyanoethyl, or -N(R5)(R6) = the residue of a satd. 5- or 6- membered heterocyclic ring; Y = H, OH, 1-4C alkyl or 1-4C alkoxy; m, n and q = 0, 1 or 2; Pc is a (p+s+v)-valent residue of a metal-free or metal phthalocyanine with VO, TiO, Pb, Sn, Cu, Ni or Mn as central metal, and the methylene gp. is bound to a C atom of the imidazole ring; p = 1-4; s = 0 or 1; v = 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4; P'c = a w-valent residue of a metal-free or metal phthalocyanine with VO, TiO, Pb, Sn, Cu,Ni or Mn as central metal; Hal = Br or (esp.) Cl or F; R7 = 1-4C alkyl, 2-4C hydroxyalkyl or 2-4C aminoalkyl; and w = 1, 2, 3 or 4.
