Abstract:
Disclosed is the use of highly functional, highly branched or hyperbranched polycarbonates as a dispersing agent for pigments. Said polycarbonates can be obtained by a) producing one or several different condensation products (K) by a1) reacting at least one organic carbonate (A) of general formula RO[(CO)O] n R with at least one aliphatic, aliphatic/aromatic, or aromatic alcohol (B) comprising at least 3 OH groups while eliminating alcohols ROH, R independently representing a linear or branched aliphatic, aromatic/aliphatic, or aromatic hydrocarbon radical containing 1 to 20 C atoms, and radicals R being optionally interconnected so as to form a ring containing the grouping -O[(CO)O] n -, and n representing an integer ranging from 1 to 5, or a2) reacting phosgene, diphosgene, or triphosgene with the aliphatic, aliphatic/aromatic, or aromatic alcohol (B) while releasing hydrogen chloride, the quantitative ratio between alcohols (B) and the carbonates (A) or the phosgenes in the reaction mixture being selected such that the condensation products (K) on average are provided with one carbonate group or carbamyl chloride group and more than one OH group or one OH group and more than one carbonate group or carbamyl chloride group, and b) intermolecularly reacting the condensation products (K) obtained in step a).
Abstract:
The invention relates to green pigment preparations containing, as the essential constituents thereof: (A) C.I. Pigment Green 36 or a mixture of C.I. Pigment Green 36 with another or a plurality of other green, yellow and/or blue pigments, (B) at least one pigment derivative, and (C) as desired, at least one surface-active agent which is different to (B). The invention also relates to methods for producing said preparations, and to the use thereof for producing the green components of colour filters.
Abstract:
Pigments of the general formula FxHet(I) where F is the cation of a cationic dye which has an absorption maximum at >700 nm and may or may not contain anionic groups and Het is an anion of a heteropolyacid based on tungsten, molybdenum, vanadium or a mixture of these with phosphorus, silicon, cobalt, aluminum, manganese, chromium, nickel or a mixture of these or a copper(I)-hexacyanoferrate(II) anion, are superior to the known IR dyes in terms of thermal stability and photostability, and give optical recording media having superior properties, such as a high signal/noise ratio.
Abstract:
Green pigment (A) comprises C.I. Pigment Green 36, green pigment, yellow pigment and/or blue pigment; at least a pigment derivative; and different surface-active agent of the pigment derivative. An independent claim is included for a method for the preparation of (A).
Abstract:
A pigment preparation in pellet form is composed of organic pigment particles coated with an acidic resin comprising a mixture of free resin acid and resin soap. The pigment preparation is useful for pigmenting printing inks.
