Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for reesterifying or esterifying side chains in polymers. Said method comprises the following steps: a) a copolymer is produced which is obtained by polymerizing aa) at least one (meth)acrylate of general formula (I) as component A, wherein R 1 represents H or CH 3 while R 2 represents H or an alkyl radical that can be optionally substituted with functional groups such as acryl groups, ether groups, amino groups, epoxy groups, halogen groups, or sulfonic acid groups, and ab) at least one monomer of general formula (II) as component B, wherein R 3 has the same meaning as R 1 , R 4 has the same meaning as R 2 , and n = 1 to 40, and b) reesterifying or esterifying the carboxyl group containing the radical R 4 with an alcohol in the presence of an enzyme catalyzing the reesterification or esterification process. The invention also relates to said polymers and the use thereof.
