Abstract:
Production of Beta -ionone by reaction of 3,7-dimethylocten(7)-yn-(1)-ol-(3) with a lower alkanol ester of acetoacetic acid at a temperature of from 100* to 400*C and treating the reaction mixture with an acid catalyst at a temperature of from 100* to 400*C and cyclizing the 6,10-dimethylundecatrien-(3,5,10)-one-(2) obtained by contacting with concentrated sulfuric acid at temperatures of from -30 to +20*C.
Abstract:
Production of Beta -ionone by reaction of 3,7-dimethylocten(7)-yn-(1)-ol-(3) with diketene to form the acetoacetic ester of 3,7-dimethylocten-(7)-yn-(1)-ol-(3), decomposing the same at 100* to 400*C in the presence of an acid catalyst and/or after treating the mixture in the presence of the catalyst and cyclizing the 6,10-dimethylundecatrien-(3,5,10)-one-(2) obtained by treatment with concentrated sulfuric acid at temperatures of from -30* to 20*C.
Abstract:
Manufacture of penta-2,4-dien-1-als comprising the reaction of propargyl alcohols with Alpha -formylcarboxylic esters at temperatures of from 100* to 350* C. Penta-2,4-dien-1-als are odorants.
Abstract:
A process for the production of pent-4-en-1-als which comprises reacting an allyl alcohol with an Alpha -formylcarboxylic ester at a temperature of from 100* to 350*C. Pent-4-en-1-als are perfumes and have a fresh fruity odor.
Abstract:
Alkyl substituted alkan-1-al-7-ols and their production by reaction of alk-1-en-6-ols in the presence of rhodium and iridium catalysts with carbon monoxide and hydrogen at from 50*C to 200*C and 100 to 1,500 atmospheres.
Abstract:
Pinanes substituted by a group X in the 3-position which group is formyl, or its alkyl-acetals or alkyl-hemiacetals, carboxylic acid, carboxylic acid chloride, carboxylic acid amide, hydroxymethyl or aminomethyl substituted in a specific manner at the nitrogen, the optical isomers of these compounds and a process for their manufacture by hydroformylation of alpha -pinene in the presence of rhodium catalysts, and conversion of the 3-formylpinane first produced into the above derivatives by conventional methods.
Abstract:
A horizontal solid-bed polymerization reactor which is divided into a plurality of zones, for example a reaction zone, an after-reaction zone, a heating zone and a product discharge zone and possesses inlet and outlet openings for feeding substances into the zones and/or removing substances from the zones, the zones being separated from one another over a part of the reactor cross-section by means of weirs, wherein two drive shafts which are independent of one another and possess mixing elements are introduced into the solid-bed polymerization reactor in the middle.
Abstract:
O.Z. 0050/033766 A tape cartridge assembly and tape transport apparatus for use therewith, comprising a cartridge housing which is provided internally with holding means for a hub bearing a roll of magnetic tape, the roll of tape being accessible from outside, receiving means for the cartridge housing and the hub being provided on the apparatus, by which means the peripheral surface of the roll of magnetic tape can be brought into contact with a drive member.
