    Abstract: Process for printing textile materials made of cellulose fibres or blends thereof with synthetic fibres with disperse dyes by the discharge resist method whereby the ground of the material is dyed with a print paste which contains a synthetic carboxyl-containing thickener which has been at least partially neutralised with ammonia to a pH within the range from 3 to 8, an N-methylol compound or an N-methylol ether compound of urea or urea derivatives and at least one disperse dye which is alkali-dischargeable to white. The fixation of the alkali-dischargeable disperse dyes for the ground dyeing and of the alkali-stable disperse dyes for the resist print paste is effected by heating the textile material to above 140 DEG C in the absence of inorganic catalysts for curing N-methylol or N-methylol ether compounds of urea or urea derivatives.

    Abstract: Process for printing textile materials made of cellulose fibres or their mixtures or blends with synthetic fibres with disperse dyes by the discharge resist process. The textile materials are pretreated with a liquor which contains an N-methylol or N-methylol ether compound of urea, urea derivatives or carbamic esters in solution, or they are printed uniformly with a print paste which contains one of said compounds, a dischargeable disperse dye and a synthetic thickener.

    Abstract: A post-treatment agent (I) comprises a mixt. of (a) 50-90 pts.wt. adducts of 3-8 moles ethylene oxide (EO) and 1 mole 12-16C aliphatic oxy-alcohols, (b) 2-15 pts.wt. adducts of 6-14 moles propylene oxide (PO) and 1 mole 8-12C oxy-alcohols, (c) 2-15 pts.wt. 4-19C mono-alkyl orthophosphate and (d) 5-45 pts.wt. adducts of 8-16 moles EO and 3-9 moles PO with 1 mole 11-17C oxy-alcohols. Also claimed is a process for washing dispersion-dyed textiles based on polyester or polyester mixts. using aq. solns. contg. 0.2-5 g/l (I), at 20-120 deg.C. and pH 4-14. Pref., (a) are commercially available adducts fo 13-15C oxy-alcohols with 3-7 EO, (b) are adducts of 9-11C oxy-alcohols and 6-14 PO, (c) is a 6-12C monoalkyl phosphate and (d) are adducts of 13-15C fatty alcohols with 8-16 EO and 3-9 PO. Washing conditions are 60-105 deg.C. and pH 6-11. USE/ADVANTAGE - For colours and prints from dispersion dyes on textile materials. (I) is upto 90% biodegradable, does not foam in aq. washing baths at 10-100 deg.C. and has excellent emulsion stability and washing action; unfixed dispersion dyes are washed out and redn. - sensitive dyes such as reactive dyes and metal complex dyes are practically unaffected, so that (I) can be used even with polyester/cotton mix
