    Abstract: The invention relates to a method and to a device for preparing and carrying out NMR measurements of substrate samples (3.1). According to the inventive method, individual solutions are prepared from the substrate samples (3.1) using a pipetting system (1) and are fed to a flow cell (16) to prepare and carry out NMR measurements. The feed device (7) and the pipetting system (1) can be rinsed with at least one solvent (8, 9). A work station (54) handling the recording of the NMR spectrum of the sample and a computer (53) controlling the pipetting system (1) access a common directory tree (32) containing the directories (33.1 to 33.9) with the files defining the samples. When these are accessed, the directories (33.1 to 33.9) are processed in a time-interleaved manner.
