Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a burner block capable of performing a low temperature method for producing an acetylene-synthesis gas mixture and avoiding the existence of these ignitable mixtures in this low temperature method. SOLUTION: By a burner block (1) having a mouthpiece (2), a plurality of hydrocarbon passages (3) for the passage of a hydrocarbon-oxygen mixture used as a reacting material and at least one oxygen passage (4) for the passage of air or an air-oxygen mixture, an achievement is made. An ignition burner (5) can exist, and the combustion of the hydrocarbon for producing acetylene at the temperature under 1400 deg.C is permitted by the burner block.
