Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for reacting organic compounds with a hydrogen-peroxide solution. The method is characterised in that each concentration of dissolved anions and cations in the hydrogen-peroxide solution which is used, is less than 100 ppm. The invention also relates to methods for reducing the salt concentration in hydrogen-peroxide solutions, to the use of hydrogen-peroxide solutions produced by this method for reacting an organic compound and to an integrated method for producing a hydrogen-peroxide solution, based on a conventional method using anthraquinone, containing one or more stages for reducing the salt concentration.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing a shaped body that contains at least one zeolite. The inventive method comprises the following steps: (X) producing a mixture containing a zeolite or a mixture of two or more thereof, (XI) mixing the mixture obtained in (I) with a binder, and (XII) kneading, shaping, drying and calcinating the mixture obtained in step (II). The method is further characterized in that the binder contains aluminum.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for the production of propylene oxide in the presence of methanol, during which propylene oxide is separated off from a mixture, comprising propylene oxide and methanol and the resulting mixture comprising methanol is worked up. The invention is characterised in that on working up, methanol is separated from a mixture containing methanol and methyl formate.
Abstract:
The use of inorganic or organic poly acids is claimed for treating mineral fertilisers containing a nitrification inhibitor. The use of compounds of formula (I) is claimed as nitrification inhibitors. R1 = H, halo or 1-4C alkyl; R2 = 1-4C alkyl; R3 = H or CH2OH, and when R3 = H, the compound may be converted to a phosphoric acid salt. A mineral fertiliser containing a poly acid and optionally (I) is also claimed. 3,4-dimethylpyrazole (Ia), 4-chloro-3-methyl-pyrazole (Ib), N-hydroxymethyl-3,4-dimethylpyrazole (Ic), N-hydroxymethyl-4-chloro-3 -methylpyrazole (Id), acid addition salts of (Ic) and (Id), and mixtures of two or more of (Ia)-(d) are new. -
Abstract:
An organic compound having at least one C-C double bond is epoxidized by means of hydrogen peroxide in the presence of at least one catalytically active compound and at least one solvent, wherein a product mixture comprising alpha-hydroperoxyalcohols is reduced using at least one reducing agent. The process advantageously comprises at least the following steps: (i) reacting an organic compound having at least one C-C double bond with hydrogen peroxide in the presence of at least one catalytically active compound and at least one solvent to give a product mixture P1 comprising alpha-hydroperoxyalcohols; (ii) separating an epoxide formed in the reaction in step (i) and the unreacted organic compound having at least one C-C double bond from P1 or P1' to give a product mixture P2 or P2', where P2 comprises the alpha-hydroperoxyalcohols formed as by-product in the reaction in step (i) and P2' is largely free of alpha-hydroperoxyalcohols; (iii) treating P1 and/or P2 with at least one reducing agent so that the alpha-hydroperoxyalcohols are converted into corresponding glycols to give a product mixture P1' or P3.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A mixture (M1) comprising an alkene and oxygen is worked up by a process in which (i) oxygen is removed from the mixture (M1) by a nondistillative method to give a mixture (M2) and (ii) the alkene is separated off from the mixture (M2) by distillation.
