Abstract:
9-Amino-2-phenylbicyclo-[3.3.1]nonanes and 9-amino-2-phenylbicyclo[3.3.1]non-2-enes of the formula I I where R1 and R2 are identical or different and each is hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, dialkylamino, trifluoromethyl, hydroxyl, alkylthio, alkylsulfonyl or nitro, R3 and R4 are identical or different and each is hydrogen, alkyl or 1 to 5 or alkenyl or alkynyl of 2 to 5 carbon atoms, or benzyl, it also being possible for R3 and R4 together to form a saturated chain which contains from three to seven carbon atoms and can be substituted by phenyl, and where is a single or double bond, are used for producing drugs which act, in particular, on the central nervous system.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prepare an oral or a parenteral therapeutic agent, comprising a specific amount of an antipode of propafenone as an active ingredient, having antiarrhythmic actions and useful for treating cardiopathy. CONSTITUTION: This antiarrhythmic therapeutic agent comprises (S)-propafenone or (R)propafenone represented by the formula as an active ingredient. The active ingredient has the structure represented by the formula and is effective in the form of a hydrochloride in treating cardiac and circulatory diseases, especially heart rate disorders. The content of the active substance in the therapeutic agent is usually 0.1-50mg, preferably 0.2-20mg, especially 1-5mg dose at a time based on 1kg body weight in a propafenone pharmaceutical preparation. The (S)-propafenone having a stronger β-blocking actions than those of (R,S)-propafenone is used for tachycardiac arrhythmia accompanied with a high catecholamine level and further for patients without still undergoing treatment with a β-blocker.
