Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst packing material by which a layered flow can be formed and through which an unreacted educt is subsequently prevented from slipping. SOLUTION: This catalyst packing material for a reactor has one or more layered bodies which consist of layers obtained by piling plural woven or knitted fabrics each having a shape like an endless belt article and cover the whole cross section of the reactor. The layered body is disposed vertically with respect to the mainly fluidizing direction in the reactor and consists of at least three segments (S).

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a process for carrying out reactions involving a liquid phase, a gaseous phase and a solid phase with improved mass transfer between the gas phase and the liq. and with isothermal processing. SOLUTION: The above purpose is achieved by an apparatus comprising (i) a dispersing element for dispersing a gas phase in a liq. phase to generate a reaction fluid, (ii) at least one reactor which processes an inlet, an outlet and a reactor space bounded by heat-removing wall which are spaced apart substantially uniformly along the main flow axis of the reaction fluid and which is fitted with a catalyst-coated metal fabric and (iii) a feed line which routes the reaction fluid from the dispersing element to the reactor inlet and is sufficiently short that the degree of dispersion of the reaction fluid does not substantially change in the course of the passage through the feed line.

Abstract: Dispositivo para la realización de una hidrogenación de benceno para dar ciclohexano con participación de una fase gaseosa, que contiene hidrógeno, de una fase líquida, que contiene benceno y de una fase sólida, que contiene catalizador, que presenta - un órgano de dispersión (6), que está configurado para la generación de un fluido de reacción mediante la dispersión de una fase gaseosa en una fase líquida, - al menos un reactor (1), configurado en forma de intercambiador de calor, con entrada (31, 41) y salida (43), estando limitada la cavidad del reactor por medio de paredes disipadoras del calor, que presentan una distancia, sensiblemente constante, a lo largo del eje principal de flujo de fluido de la reacción, y estando cargado el reactor con una rejilla metálica (20, 32) recubierta de catalizador y - un conducto de alimentación (7), que conduce el fluido de la reacción desde el órgano formador de la dispersión (6) hasta la entrada del reactor (31, 41) y que tiene una longitud tan corta, que no se modifica sensiblemente el grado de dispersibilidad del fluido de la reacción en el momento del paso a través del conducto de alimentación.

Preferred Features: Each layer in a packet is twisted by 180[deg] against each other.

An Independent claim is also included for a process for carrying out reactions in the gaseous, liquid and solid phases comprising producing a reaction fluid by dispersion of a gaseous phase in a liquid phase; feeding the reaction fluid produced through the reactor; exchanging reaction heat on the walls of the reactor chamber; and separating the reaction fluid into a gas phase and a liquid phase.
