Abstract: In the continuous prodn. of aliphatic cpds. (I) contg. carbalkoxy gps. by reacting olefinically unsatd. aliphatic cpds. (II) with CO and alkanols in the presence of Co carbonyl catalysts (III) and tert. N bases (IV) at 80-200 deg.C and 100-1200 bar, the novelty is that CO is circulated and the CO supplied to the reaction contains 0.1-2.0 vol.% CO2. (IV) has a pKa value of 6-9 and pref. is 3-methylpyridine (IVA) and/or 4-methylpyridine. (II) can be 4-10C alpha-olefins; butadiene; a 4C fraction contg. butadiene; or esters of alkenecarboxylic acids with 4-11C.
