    Abstract: 1,156,196. Polymer sheets. BADISCHE ANILIN- & SODA-FABRIK A.G. 11 Nov., 1966 [13 Nov., 1965], No. 50625/66. Heading C3P. Polymer sheets are made of compositions comprising by weight 100 parts of polyisobutylene having an intrinsic viscosity of more than 5À0 dl./g., 200 to 250 parts of chalk, 20 to 50 parts of a polymer of ethylene or propylene and 25 to 35 parts of carbon black. Specified polymers are polyethylene, polypropylene and copolymers of ethylene with vinyl acetate or propionate or with ethyl, butyl or isobutyl acrylate. The compositions may also contain di - t. - butylphenol sulphide, 2,2 - bis - (2- methyl - 5 - t. - butyl - 4 - hydroxyphenyl) butane, N phenyl - N 1 - cyclohexyl - p - phenylene diamine, stearic acid, zinc stearate or calcium stearate. The sheets may be used in building, e.g. as damp courses and roof coverings.

    Abstract: 1,136,115. Olefin polymer compositions. BADISCHE ANILIN - & SODA - FABRIK A.G. 1 April, 1966 [2 April, 1965], No. 14445/66. Heading C3P. Moulding materials comprise ethylene polymers of molecular weight 360,000 to 1,000,000 and which are homopolymers or copolymers with not more than 40% of propylene, butene-1, 4-methylpentene-1 or octene-1 and 5 to 45 weight per cent of propylene polymers, based on the total ethylene and propylene polymers, the propylene polymer being a homopolymer or copolymer with up to 10% ethylene butene-1 or 4-methylpentene-1. The compositions may also comprise stabilizers, fillers, pigments, antistatic agents and flame retardants, and may be prepared by dry blending or solvent mixing to give moulding granulates or powders which may be moulded into sheets, pipes, sections and hollow articles. Examples describe compositions of linear polyethylene and polypropylene for moulding containers.
