PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a stable dye solution which is used as a direct liquid composition or a base material for the same without requiring a complicated and expensive isolating operation. SOLUTION: The method comprises performing a diazotization reaction at a pH adjusted to have an acidic value by using pure methanesulfonic acid or a mixture of monobasic acids containing at least ≥20 mole%, preferably ≥50 mole%, especially ≥80 mole% methanesulfonic acid. Abstract:
The invention relates to a triarylmethane dye of formula (I), wherein R and R represent independently methyl, ethyl or hydroxyethyl, Q represents optionally substituted phenyl or naphthyl and A represents the equivalent of an anion. The triarylmethane dyes do not abstract any carcinogenic Michler`s Keton.
Abstract:
Described is a triarylmethane dye of the formula I where R and R are independently methyl, ethyl or hydroxyethyl, Q is substituted or unsubstituited phenyl or naphthyl and A is the equivalent of an anion. It does not detach carcinogenic Michler's ketone.
Abstract:
Paper, board and cardboard are produced by a process in which a paper stock is drained in the presence of condensates of basic amino acids with sheet formation. In particular, homo- and cocondensates of lysine and the crosslinked condensates obtainable therefrom by reaction with crosslinking agents are used in amounts of from 0.01 to 5% by weight, based on dry paper stock, as a means of increasing the dry and wet strength and the absorptivity of paper, for fixing anionic dyes and interfering substances in the paper, for increasing the drainage rate and the retention as well as the efficiency of synthetic anionic and cationic retention aids in the production of paper, board and cardboard by draining a paper stock with sheet formation.
Abstract:
The invention relates to bisazo compounds of formula (Ia) or (Ib) wherein R represents hydrogen or methyl; the groups X independently represent -CH2CH2- or -CH2CH2CH2-; R , R , R independently represent hydrogen or methyl; A represents an anion; and n represents the valency of A. The invention also relates to the use of said bisazo compounds for dyeing, especially paper, and to dyes containing bisazo compounds.
