Abstract: Method for marking molded articles on the basis of 70 wt.% of thermoplastic polyesters or its mixtures, additive components, by means of high-energy radiation, and further additives such as alkali (earth) carbonate or -sulfate, for the improvement of the marking ability. Independent claims are included for: (1) a thermoplastic molded material comprising 10-99.9 wt.% of thermoplastic polyester, 0.01-10 wt.% of thermoplastic polyesters or its mixtures, additives components and further additives such as alkali (earth) carbonate or -sulfate, 0.01-50 wt.% of branched polycarbonate or polyester, 0-10 wt.% of inorganic metal salt, and 0-50 wt.% of further additives; and (2) molded articles, semi-finished materials or finished units that are obtained by the procedure.

Thermoplastic molded materials comprises: 10-98.9 wt.% of at least one thermoplastic polyester, 0.01-50 wt.% of at least one highly-or hyper-branched polycarbonate with hydroxyl-number of 1-600 mg of potassium hydroxide/g polycarbonate (according to DIN 53240, part 2) and/or at least one highly- or hyper-branched polyester of type A xB y, 0.1-10 wt.% of at least one carbodiimide and 0-60 wt.% of additives, where the sum of the weight percentage of the components is 100%. x = at least 1.1; and y = at least 2.1. An independent claim is included for fibers, foils and molded articles obtained from the thermoplastic molded materials.
