    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a foamed plastic material based on a polyisocyanate polyaddition product by reacting an isocyanate compound with an isocyanate- reacting compound in the presence of a catalyst and optionally an auxiliary and/or an additive. SOLUTION: This method for producing a polyurethane foam comprises reacting an isocyanate compound with an isocyanate-reacting compound in the presence of a catalyst, etc. Therein, (i) an isocyanate having an isocyanurate structure and/or a biuret structure is used as the isocyanate compound. (ii) The isocyanate-reacting compound herein used is at least one kind of diol and/or polyol, having a mol.wt. of 400-8,000 and containing primary hydroxyl groups in an amount of at least 50% based on all hydroxyl groups contained in the compound.     Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-component polyurethane contg. a reactive diluent which is easy to manufacture and incorporated into a polyurethane without difficulty, and has no side-reaction with the structural component of the polyurethane. SOLUTION: This polyurethane comprises at least two-functional polyisocyanate component and polyol component, and the polyol component contains at least a cyclic acetal contg. a hydroxyl and/or a ketal. This method of manufacturing the polyurethane comprises a reaction of at least two- functional polyisocyanate with a compd. contg. an active hydrogen, and the compd. contg. an active hydrogen contains the cyclic acetal and/or the ketal as a reactive diluent.
