Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing a polyether compound containing a polymer provided with a polyether chain whose maximum content of alkylene oxide repeated units of oxides, the derivatives of branched olefins and/or olefins devoid of double liaisons alpha and linear alpha -olefins. Said invention also relates to polyether compounds produced by the inventive method and to the use thereof when they are added to fuels or lubricants.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for the production of an oligomerisation catalyst for olefins with 2 to 6 carbon atoms, comprising treating aluminium oxide with a nickel compound and a sulphur compound. The treatment may occur simultaneously, or with the nickel compound first and, subsequently, with the sulphur compound. The catalyst obtained thus, is finally dried and calcified, whereby said prepared catalyst, as obtained, is adjusted to give a molar ratio of sulphur to nickel of from 0.25: 1 to 0.38: 1. The catalyst and its use are also disclosed.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing a C13 alcohol mixture, according to which a) a stream of C4 hydrocarbon containing butenes, which includes less than 5 % by weight of iso-butene in relation to the butene fraction, is brought into contact with a heterogeneous catalyst containing a nickel at a raised temperature, b) a C12 olefin fraction is isolated from the reaction mixture, c) the C12 olefin fraction is hydroformulated by being reacted with carbon dioxide and hydrogen in the presence of a cobalt catalyst and d) is hydrated. The alcohol mixture thus obtained is suitable for producing surfactants by alkoxylation, glycosidation, sulphation, phosphation, alkoxylation and subsequent sulphation or alkoxylation and subsequent phosphation.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the use of amines and/or Mannich adducts as detergents and/or dispersants in fuel and lubricant compositions for direction injection spark ignition engines. The invention also relates to fuel and lubricant compositions containing at least one such Mannich adduct, and to a bisaminoalkylated Mannich adduct.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the use of alkoxylated alkyl phenols comprising at least one long-chained alkyl radical having at least one tertiary or quaternary carbon atom, as fuel additives or lubricant additives, in addition to novel alkoxylated polyalkenyl phenols. The invention also relates to a method for the production of the same and the use thereof as constituents in fuel and lubricant compositions.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for oligomerising C2- to C8 olefins on a heterogeneous catalyst containing nickel. Said method comprises the following steps: i) a catalyst pre-treatment phase in which the catalyst is brought into contact with a first hydrocarbon mixture which has an olefin content of less than 50 wt. % and contains less than 0.1 wt. % diolefins and alkines; and ii) an essentially stationary working phase in which a stream of a second hydrocarbon mixture, which contains 50 to 100 wt. % C2- to C8 olefins and less than 10 wt. ppm diolefins and alkines, is brought into contact with the catalyst.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of reducing the inhalation toxicity of functional fluids by incorporating into a functional fluid an effective amount of a copolymer which is obtainable by copolymerizing ethylene oxide, propylene oxide and/or butylene oxide with an initiator monool or diol, said copolymer having a degree of unsaturation of less than about 0.01 meq/g.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to polyethers which are obtainable from 1-butene oxide and an alcohol using a double metal cyanide compound as a catalyst and have a content of unsaturated components of 6 mol% or more, to a process for preparing such a polyether and also to the use of a polyether according to the invention as a carrier oil or in a carrier oil formulation, in particular in additive packages for gasoline fuels, and furthermore also to carrier oil formulations and also to fuels comprising a polyether according to the invention.
Abstract:
36 Polyisobutenylphenol-containing Mannich adducts are prepared by a) alkylation of a phenol with highly reactive polyisobutene having a number average molecular weight of less than 1000 and a polydispersity of less than 3.0, at below about 50°C in the presence of an alkylation catalyst; b) reaction of the reaction product from a) with b1) an aldehyde chosen from formaldehyde, an oligomer and a polymer of formaldehyde and b2) at least one amine which has-at least one primary or one secondary amino function and are used as detergent additives in fuel and lubricant compositions, and additive concentrates, fuel compositions and lubricant compositions contain these Mannich adducts.
