    Abstract: A process for the production of oxidised polyolefin wax (I) comprises the continuous reaction of polyolefin wax (II) with oxygen or oxygen-containing gas at 140-200 degrees C and 5-200 bar in a tubular reactor, excluding polyolefins obtained by metallocene catalysis. Also claimed is oxidised polyolefin wax (I) obtained by this process, preferably with an acid number of 10-50.

    Abstract: A thermoplastic moulding material (I) contains: (A) 5-94 wt.% of a partly aromatic, partly crystalline copolyamide derived from: (a1) 30-44 mole% terephthalic acid (TPA) units; (a2) 6-20 mole% isophthalic acid (IPA) units; (a3) 43-49.5 mole% hexamethylenediamine (HMDA) units; and (a4) 0.5-7 mole% units derived from 6-30C cyclic aliphatic diamines; (B) 5-94 wt.% ABS, ASA or SAN polymer and/or a polymer of (1-18C alkyl) (meth)acrylate; (C) 1-30 wt.% of a coupling agent contg. 0.1-10 wt.% functional monomers (w.r.t. 100 wt.% C.); (D) 0-30 wt.% of a rubber-elastic polymer; (E) 0-45 wt.% of a fibrous and/or particulate filler; and (F) 0-30 wt.% of conventional additives and processing aids.     Abstract: A process for the compression of ethylenically unsaturated monomers at a pressure of 200-5,000 bar in the absence of a polymerization initiator is carried out in the presence of a nitroxyl compound (I). A process for the condensation of ethylenically unsaturated monomers at a pressure of 200-5,000 bar in the absence of a polymerization initiator is carried out in the presence of a nitroxyl compound of formula (I). Independent claims are included for: (i) a process for the production of copolymers by condensation of the comonomer, optionally as a mixture in the presence of (I) followed by polymerization at 50-350 degrees C by addition of a polymerization initiator; (ii) the resulting copolymer product. R , R = 1-4C alkyl or R and R together with the C atom they are bonded to form a 5 or 6 C saturated hydrocarbon ring; R = 1-4C alkyl; R = H or 1-12C alkyl.

    Abstract: A moulding composition comprising: (a) 5-95 wt.% random copolyamide (I) of (a1) 95.1-99.9 wt.% component (IA) of equimolar amounts of linear aliphatic diamine(s) and linear aliphatic dicarboxylic acid(s) and (a2) 0.1-4.9 wt.% component (IB) of equimolar amounts of linear aliphatic diamine(s) and isophthalic acid; and (b) 5-95 wt.% other copolymer (II), selected from (b1) optionally modified polyarylene ether(s) (IIA), (b2) component (IIB) a mixture of 60-99 wt.% (co)polyolefin(s) (IIB.1) and 1-40 wt.% modified (co)polyolefin(s) (IIB.2) or (b3) a component (IIC) comprising 70-100 wt.% styrene-acrylonitrile (SAN), acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) and/or acrylonitrile-styrene-acrylic ester (ASA) polymer(s) (IIC.1) and 0-30 wt.% modified SAN, ABS or ASA polymer(s) (IIC.2). The composition may also contain: (c) 0-20 wt.% impact modifier(s), (d) 0-50 wt.% filler(s) and (e) 0-20 wt.% usual additives. Also claimed are: (i) a method of producing the composition; and (ii) mouldings, fibers, or films produced from the composition.
