Abstract: A process for preparing an aqueous styrene-butadiene polymer dispersion by free-radical aqueous emulsion polymerization of a monomer mixture M containing from 40 to 80% by weight of styrene as monomer M1, from 20 to 60% by weight of butadiene as monomer M2, and from 0 to 40% by weight, based on 100% by weight of monomers, of ethylenically unsaturated comonomers M3 other than styrene and butadiene by a monomer feed technique in the presence of from 0.05 to 0.5% by weight, based on 100% by weight of monomers, of at least one hydrocarbon HC having 6 to 20 carbon atoms, which is selected from compounds which on abstraction of a hydrogen atom form a pentadienyl radical or a 1-phenylallyl radical and from alpha-methylstyrene dimer comprises including at least 30% of the hydrocarbon HC in the initial charge to the polymerization vessel and supplying the remainder of the hydrocarbon HC to the polymerization reaction in the course of that reaction.

Abstract: Procedimiento para la obtención de una dispersión acuosa de polímeros de estireno-butadieno mediante polimerización acuosa en emulsión por medio de radicales, de una mezcla de monómeros M, que contiene - desde un 40 hasta un 80 % en peso de estireno como monómero M1 - desde un 20 hasta un 60 % en peso de butadieno como monómero M2 y - desde un 0 hasta un 40 % en peso, referido a 100 % en peso de los monómeros, de comonómeros M3 etilénicamente insaturados, diferentes de estireno y de butadieno, según un procedimiento de alimentación de los monómeros, en presencia de un 0, 05 hasta un 0, 5 % en peso, referido al 100 % en peso de los monómeros, al menos de un hidrocarburo KW con 6 hasta 20 átomos de carbono, elegido entre los compuestos que formen, por abstracción de un átomo de hidrógeno, un radical pentadienilo o un radical 1-fenil alilo, y -metilestireno-dímero, caracterizado porque se aumenta la concentración del butadieno en la alimentación de los monómeros al menos en un 10 % en peso, referido a los monómeros en la alimentación, durante un periodo de tiempo de al menos el 1 % de la duración total de la alimentación, en un instante en el que se haya alimentado a la reacción de polimerización al menos el 70 % de los monómeros a ser polimerizados.

Abstract: Procedimiento para la elaboración de una dispersión polimérica acuosa estirol-butadieno mediante polimerización radical acuosa por emulsión de una mezcla monomérica M, que contiene - estirol, - butadieno y eventualmente - hasta un 30% en peso, relativo al 100% en peso del monómero, de comonómeros etilénicamente insaturados distintos de estirol y butadieno; en un recipiente de polimerización tras un procedimiento de alimentación de monómeros en presencia de un sistema regulador que contiene, relativo al 100% en peso de los monómeros, - del 0, 02 al 0, 5% en peso de al menos un hidrocarburo KW con de 6 a 20 átomos de carbono, que se selecciona entre compuestos, que por abstracción de un átomo de hidrógeno forman un radical pentadienílico o 1-fenilalílico, y dímero de -metilestirol, así como - del 0, 3 al 2% en peso de un compuesto orgánico S conteniendo al menos un grupo SH, y que se caracteriza porque se aporta al recipiente de polimerización al menos un 30%, preferentemente al menos un 50%, especialmente al menos un 80% y de manera especialmente preferida el total (y/o >95%) de hidrocarburo KW.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing an aqueous styrene-butadiene polymer dispersion by means of radical aqueous emulsion polymerisation of a monomer mixture M containing styrene, butadiene, and optionally up to 30 wt. %, in relation to 100 wt. % of monomers, of ethylenically unsaturated comonomers other than styrene and butadiene. The reaction is carried out in a polymerisation vessel according to a monomer supply method, in the presence of a regulator system comprising, in relation to 100 wt. % of monomers, between 0.02 and 0.5 wt. % of at least one hydrocarbon KW having between 6 and 20 C atoms and being selected from compounds forming a pentadienyl radical or a 1-phenylallyl radical by means of abstraction of a hydrocarbon atom, an alpha -methylstyrene dimer, and between 0.3 and 2 wt. % of an organic compound S with at least one SH group. The inventive method is characterised in that at least 30 %, preferably at least 50 %, especially at least 80 %, and ideally the entire amount (or more than 95 %) of the hydrocarbon KW is present in the polymerisation vessel.
